IC: 001-G: Wade and Mac

When Wade and Mac get several blocks away from Times Square, Mac seems to calm down and stop ranting. He necks several pints of chocolate milk, and as soon as Wade mollifies the irate cashier by paying for them, Mac necks a few more.

He wipes his mouth with the back of his hand. Wade notices, where the chocolate milk stains his symbiote, it is quickly absorbed. Mac shifts his symbiote into street clothes. "Thanks, bud. My suit started going nuts right before we touched down-- this crazy goblin lady, it's like she got in our heads, she was trying to make us attack... everyone."

"I don't care about that piece o' shit Brock, but I don't want that psycho getting ahold of his symbiote or that new Spider-Girl's."

"Goblin... lady?" Funnybone asked, tilting his head to one side in what might have been a quizzical expression... if he had a face. "Where?"

"She's hiding in the crowd there.  I never saw her with, like, my eyes. Just flashes of red and black, like my Other, and her voice in our mind."

"Maybe you should just hang out here, and not go back to the battle," Funnybone suggested. Technically, they had been on opposite sides of the ensuing conflict. At the very least, he was taking an opponent off the board. At best, he was possibly saving lives as he kept a powerful symbiote-powered Scorpion from going berserk. He slapped a twenty dollar bill* on the counter. "Chocolate milk is on me."

* = This bill, with its portrait of Clint Eastwood, was worthless as cash... but priceless as an artifact of another universe.

Without taking her eyes off of Scorpion, the cashier puts the worthless/priceless bill into the register.

Gwen sends a telepathic message through the Tallus.

* You ok over there?  That dude is not in control of his symbiote. *

In reply to Spider-Woman (msg # 6):

«Actually, he is Funnybone called back across the psychic link. «There's a goblin girl (not the Frank Zappa kind) in the crowd that was making him go nuts. Got him away, and he's as stable as I am.»

* Yeah she's like, nine feet tall and yelling at Stark.  Not hard to spot.  She was trying to help with the demons.  I'll keep an eye on her.  Something weird is going on.  *

OOC: I'm not sure why Gwen wouldn't identify She-Hulk as the Goblin Girl given the information she has.

Trusting Scorpion to stay put and drink his chocolate milk like a good psychotic killer, Funnybone hopped back on his hell-cycle and roared back to where the others were.
