The Birth of The Cascading Pools of Irani

In the first days of Existence there was chaos. The elements roiled and seethed, earth fire and water flowed with little difference from one another. Gravity, light, dark, time. These were not even concepts. But then order imposed itself. A World Tree was being born. And so one of its first worlds started to take shape.

In time this world would come to be known as Aeon. But for now it bore little resemblance to its future self. The raging fires dimmed, the coiling light and dark unwove from another. The skies settled into the heavens, the lands and seas into the earth. The world was taking shape, but not quite done forming.

However, traces of those wild early days remained and would always remain. The god of the world that would be was also not formed, just like their world. But even unborn they were yet a god and still held some matter of sway. They could reach out and determine which element would remain affiliated with their realm. Choose one of the following affinities that will impact your realm.

Note: I formed a table of different affinities and rolled there. These are what choices came up for your realm!

Life: Vitality still pulses in this realm, a vestige of the earliest days of creation. It's mark can be found in the way plants sprout readily, how animals grow and flourish readily and how sickness is less frequent. These are lingering traces of the primordial elements that fashioned this world.

Heat: Second oldest of the elements, heat came after cold, for one can only sense one from the presence of the other. In your realm the warmth of the sun spreads ever so slightly faster, fires warmth radiates just a bit further. Summer starts just a little earlier and lasts a little longer. These are lingering traces of the primordial elements that fashioned this world.

Death: One of the last elements of creation to come into existence, death manifested to balance out its sibling of life. In your realm the traces of death are more common, molds and mosses flourishes in shadows, animals or plants are likelier to have shorter lives, fires snuff out ever so slightly faster and springs run dry ever so slightly faster. These are lingering traces of the primordial elements that fashioned this world.

OOC: Your god hasn't fully awakened yet, this is just a small preamble leading up to the beginning. Your realm will still be as you described it, these traces will just add a bit of unique flavor to the realm.

With the world settling and firming into place, you can feel the echoes of intelligence. Minds, shaped by your will. They will come into existence before yourself and they'll be awaiting your arrival, but for now they too are still in their final stages of formation, just like your lands. You have a strong image of them already, what they shall look like, what they shall call themselves, but there is a final gift to bestow upon your people. Choose one of the lingering potentials to imbue upon your people.

Social: Your people are able to mingle ever so slightly more productively than other races. They form into societies and bands, establish rules and structure effectively. Working as a group comes naturally to them.

Industrious: Your people are productive, they are willing to work and do so effectively. Projects are completed more quickly, your people are not ones to shirk labor and toil and this is reflected in their ability to produce what they put their minds to.

Adaptable: Your people do not quail when circumstances change. Adaptable does not mean a supernatural ability to grow gills if thrown into a lake, but rather a societal ability to deal with changing circumstances. They possess a mental flexibility to deal with hardships thrown at them.

The world is nearly done. You can feel your followers. They exist somewhere though you cannot see them yet. But there is an imperfection in their form. How could there not be, after all? For to be perfect something must be unchanging and change is certainly on the horizon. Your stirring is proof of that. But what imperfection exists in your followers is yet to be determined. You may guide the form it'll take.

Note: The flaw isn't going to be overwhelming and all consuming. When complications do arise naturally in your realm, generally from large time lapses, they'll be more likely to be linked to your peoples flaw if they did arise internally.

Alas, it is a pity it must exist, but such is the way of mortals. These flaws are what shows the gulf between the mortal and the divine. Or at least so the divine like to think.

Lazy: Your people balk at the notion of hard work. When it's required they're slower to take action and quicker to quit. Sometimes work is left half done and excuses are always sought for extra breaks or reasons to leave off early.

Savage: Your people are not shy about violence, in fact it's often viewed as one of the first solutions when a problem presents itself. When they do engage in violence they often struggle to know just how far is too far. Squabbles and brawls are more common amongst your people and in the heat of battle they can be less disciplined than others.

Arrogant: Your people are sure they're the best. Not just as a people, but they as individuals. They bear a very high opinion of their own ideas and capabilities and a very low opinion of others ideas and capabilities. It makes them prone to overlook ideas from beyond themselves and to underestimate others or overestimate themselves.

You feel yourself stirring. The world is still hot from the fires of creation, the heavens and earth are only newly forged, but the time will soon be upon you. You sense your fledgling people already born, several generations have passed for them as they unknowingly await your arrival just as the skies and the mountains and seas of your realm await you. It is not long now.
