ok so i realize that no one chooses warlock other than eldrich blast, hunters are usually useless most of the time (most) and that the artificers and blood hunters are pretty much hidden or collecting dust of a shelf.. why?

There are DMs that don't allow unofficial material (even if it comes from Matt Mercer), some won't allow Eberron materials in non-Eberron settings, and some only allow use of the PHB for character building.  As for warlocks, it's split between Eldritch Blast and Hexblades, mainly because those are the two best options.  There is general agreement that they messed up with the Ranger design, and so a lot of people will avoid that class whenever possible.

The revised ranger is awesome!  I am playing one currently.  Depending how prolific magic items are in the game artificers are (or can be) really powerful.  I hadn't even heard of the blood hunter.  I play warlock for the pet, they're so cute!
