A question about using different devices to view RPOL

This has probably been asked and answered already or it's explained somewhere I didn't see yet, but I'm going to ask anyway. If it has been answered or explained somewhere else just link me to it!

I'd like to know why rpol doesn't remember what I've viewed already from different devices?

For example, when I'm on my computer I've read everything and even replied to posts in this Beginner's area. But when I load RPOL on my phone it says that there are new messages I haven't seen yet. And one of those messages I have not seen yet was actually posted by myself! So I've obviously seen it bc I was the last person to post a message.

Is there a secret way to synchronize my account across different devices that I haven't found yet? Maybe there's a setting somewhere that I have to enable?

Just curious! Thanks :)

Do you log out of RPoL before switching devices?  Not doing so can mess up your cookies.

Yes, cookies. They are independent from device to device.

Oh, I see. Since my phone and computer don't share cookies and I keep myself logged it on them both so I don't have to re-enter my password every time it's a little annoyance that I'll just have to endure. And I definitely mean "little annoyance", after a day or two I doubt I'll even be bothered by it whatsoever. Thanks for letting me know what the issue was!

A question about using different devices to view RPOL

Guess I am a lucky one as I use my mobile, my PC, my laptop and my Kindle Fire and stay logged in on all with no problem.  As I said I may be one of the rare ones but it works for me.  )0(

Maybe for me it's bc my phone is an LG v35 ThinQ and my pc is a dual-booting Debian/Arch Linux pc. Who knows. It's not that big a deal anyway.

A question about using different devices to view RPOL

The only thing is if you make posts on one piece of tech even if you use the same browser on two the one not posted on will show an indicator like as if there is a post in the place you posted and you have to just mark as read and move on.  As far as using different devices its just like BigBadRon and others have said above.  When I post say on my PC and then go to my laptop it shows that there is a new post when actually it is my own.  Maybe its just me that has that issue but I tend to do most of my posting on my laptop and expect to have to go in and look at posts including my own to get the light indicators off.  Just trial and error really till you find what works best for you.

Good Luck and Happy Gaming!
