I've just started back into RPGs after many years.

I did my first foray into pbp on a different forum.

Someone there suggested that I may be interested in joining a game here.

So I registered a week ago but I still have to wait another week until I'm an Adult and can join an Adult game.

Excuse my impatience but I really am an Adult and I don't want to wait so long.

I'm not here for the smut. Just, maybe a few in character swears..

Good news! You can swear in non-adult games. Anyone can join Mature games, and they allow swearing no-problem.

However, there's no way around the two-week waiting period for Adult games, so you're out of luck on that front.

Yep...doesn't matter how adult you are.  It's one of those things that's been abused enough times that there's a specific protocol for it and nobody gets a shortcut around it.

And a week or two really isn't that long...

Welcome to RPol, Well welcome to RPol and so happy you found us.  You'll find anything and everything  you want here and so many great games from freeform to about any system game you like.  It is easy to be a GM or a Player here.  I’ve been around here for donkey years.  Love it and hope you will too.  You are being treated as everyone new here are, that's the site rules, and it is for everyone's protection, including yours.  We've been here for years, and so we shall be due o the rules of this site.  No one is an exception.  You only have a week or less left, so just have a look at the Non-Adult games, i.e. General and Mature. Different games are set to Adult by their GMs for different reason, and not just a 'smut' alert.  After you have waited, the whole RPol games world is yours.

A few tips for you are below:-

Make sure you turn on your rmail by going to the link at the top that is User preferences, there you will find some settings to play around with including the rmail one as that is how you and most GMs can talk.

On the main menu there are two forums you can find what you want to play in

Wanted: players At the top there is a link that is 'Search Games' and when you click on those words it gives you a more distinct search area for what you are looking for.

Wanted: GMs where you can make a post describing the type of games you are looking for and GMs check there for new players sometimes.

At the bottom of the main menu you will also find search link to find games and other good stuff.

welcome.....alot of the games tend to be mature...there is swearing ( my players have thier characrters do it, i have NPCs  do it...but its more for 'flaover'  then it is  as a common form of  speaking.

 sex, can happen, but its mostly  just  things you see on TV, then 'fade to black'.

  enjoy your time here, never be afraid to ask questions, there is  always someone here , who has  an amswer

Different Forum / Different Rules.

Sometimes you can bypass a waiting period if you behave yourself and demonstrate your worthiness.

It was worth a shot...

The first thing I did do was activate the rMail to let the GM know that I'm interested in their game.

So now I've got a week to fine tune my character.
