I never thought I'd be the baby in a group. Not quite 30 years out of high school. No reunions have been run. Guess nobody cares.

I went to a primary school 35th reunion, and most of the twenty or so who turned up still live in the area, so it was a nice catch-up.

In any event, I'm one of a group of ten who have been friends from school (and I know how rare that is), and who meet up at least once a year, and a few of us much more than that. So big reunions aren't necessary.

Haven't ever been to a school reunion. Glad of that too. Most of them were a bunch of wankers and still are.

Once you're known as the Fireball Mage, you're always the Fireball Mage. Everyone else thinks twice after that.

One great memory of mine goes back 25+ years ago.

My character, the party wizard, was with the usual party where we were launching an assault on something. I forget what now.

The party calls for me to fireball their location, but unfortunately all I had was the ice storm spell prepped.

Sleet and hail dropped in all directions, the party included in the fall, and once our foes were vanquished, the party decided to show me their matching set of fire resistance rings they were all wearing.

Oops!

I was playing a priest/mage in the distance past and our group was in an underground complex fighting demons.  It was getting pretty touch and go, we were surrounded, and a fireball wasn't going to do jack.  Instead my character cast rock to mud on the base of the pillar holding the ceiling up.  Being a priest/mage he figured he could healed what he harmed, and he had a raise dead up his sleeve if it became extreme.  The ceiling came down wiping out our enemy in one foul swoop and the good kids made it through,..............just.  For some reason he was seen as being a little unstable from then on.

Hehehehehehe, I killed another party member that way, he had fire resistance and I cast Ice Storm, he failed his save and died.

Most of the time seeing a new notify but not seeing any thing new, it is most likely because it is from a group you can't see.

You definitely shouldn't get notifications from groups you can't see
