Hi, i am learning the SWADE rules and would like to find an ongoing group playing in a contemporary fairly realistic setting but using arcane characters plus good gunplay and an interesting story.  Anyone?

Hi! I didn't realize there was a new edition of Savage Worlds available, so thanks for letting me know. It looks great!

If a GM happens along, I'd be willing to jump into something like you described, but I'm ill prepared to GM at this moment. Maybe someday in the not-so-very close future.

How necessary are the arcane bits? I've got a zombie apocalypse game, but as of right now there is nothing supernatural (outside of the zombies themselves).

Real time chat? No, I'm afraid not, if you mean like chat over IMs or something. Just a PBP here, modern day, just as the apocalypse is happening (and the characters don't even realize the scope of it yet). If you're interested, here: The World of Ruin. Either way, I wish you luck, fellow gamer!
