D&D 4e Epic Tier anti-deity based homebrew
Looking to PLAY at an epic tier again, and it seems to be the history any game that starts at a level stays (generally) at that level.
I'd like to work toward fighting one of the myriad of very iconic bosses; Vecna, Orcus, Lolth, et cetera.
I'd like to use a theme, and have background, but neither are anywhere near dealbreakers.
I really want to play a Battlemind that will act as a downright juggernaut, nigh unshakeable, but at the same time, mostly reduced to damage from marked foes dealing his damage for him. I want to act as a secondary leader (sort of) by adding or removing statuses to the party.
The idea I have for him is he's a Clone of Halaster, that spent quite a long time in pursuit of this said BBG. If the players wouldn't min d, I'd like to work with them to form a tie in to said BBG to hunt them, or have been wronged by them.
The game doesn't even need to end with us fighting the BBG. By that, I mean games could start low epic tier. If the game dies before then, I personally won't be upset at fighting thematic antagonists along the way.
A little bit about my play style. I like combat, especially those with dynamic environments. If a PC is more socially based, I want that player to shine, and have the stage, but not require me to keep the same posting pace. I like dialogue, but I can't sustain it for very long in "planning", "Investigating" or "persuasion/intimidation". None of these are off limits, I just won't be as involved as others may be, and I want that up front, full disclosure, to be a known.
Finally, my RL is hectic. As in quite darn hectic. I have to take (on record) monthly breaks for a few days. Otherwise, I'd like a once to twice a day maximum per thread posting limit. Minimum is negotiable for me, but once per week is a good point I would want to sustain, daily would be ideal with some "free" days to miss each <period> be it each month, or calendar year.
I personally like the idea of being "Marked for Dead" by said BBG as we ascend. Rather than just being the bane of said BBG, that avid disdain is mutual.
