As the title reads. the post number is blue on the front page. When I go into the game the link is red. I go in but all of the messages are old and marked as red. There are no messages under myself or the only DM controlled character.

Suggestions?


UPDATE
So, originally I posted this and then deleted it a few minutes later because the issue seemed to resolve itself. It's now a few days later and it's happening again. When I go to the front page the post number is blue and when I enter the game the Private Messages link is red. I click on the link to go to private messages and every single one of them is marked as read and there is nothing new. Yet the system still colors everything like I have an unread message.

Any ideas why this might be happening?

Scroll down. When that happens to me, it's a multiple recipient message at the bottom of the screen.

That's not it. Under Other Private messages there aren't any.

Last time it was only a few minutes before I clicked back onto Private Messages and it showed up. It seems that's not the case this time.

You can try the "mark all as read" option.

If that doesn't work, log out of RPoL, clear your browser's RPoL cookies, then log back in.

You might have to read and/or mark as read some messages again, but usually false unread indicators are due to a browser cookie issue as that's how RPoL tracks what you've read and what you haven't.

I think there's a rare instance with PMs where if you delete a new PM on your end without reading it, the unread indicator can get stuck, but it doesn't sound like that's your issue.
