"Welcome to Brakebills University!" is a game based on the show The Magicians, which was based on the Magicians trilogy of books by Lev Grossman. It will take place in a separate time line to the show and books. While the setting will remain more or less the same, most of the characters and all of the events of the show and books do not exist. The only characters that remain from the original tales are the professors and Dean Fogg, though Dean Fogg never lost his eyesight.
Enter Brakebills University and explore magic in your own way! Learn and practice magic, make friends (or enemies), discover the mysteries and stories waiting for you to unfold them, and find out what it really takes to be a Magician!
This game will be a free-form game with a focus on the stories you, the players, create together. However, plot ideas will often find their way into the game through a dedicated "Rumors" thread, and, as the GM, I will always be happy to help bring life into the game in whatever ways I can.
