DnD 3.x (Adult Content) The Mists of Ravenloft Want You
Ignore the posts above!
If you would like to play in a little Ravenloft something, shoot me an RTJ. Don't worry about most of my introduction, an extremely lengthy background, or most of my RTJ phase. This is Pathfinder rules in a more or less homebrew version of the Forgotten Realms setting to start.
You can also create a new character as part of your RTJ. This character must have human as a base race with the wererat or wight (I'm sure there is a way to do it) template. OR it must be a fire genasi, human, elf (wood or drow commoner), or half-elf. 9th level, and be either a Warmage, a Specialist Illusionist wizard, a Fighter, a Cleric of Bane or Lathander, or a Slayer. I may use Archetypes but it is doubtful. If I consider any other classes, they will be Rogues, Psychic Warriors, Elemental (Fire) based Sorcerers, or Scouts. If I consider any other races they will be Water or Earth Genasi, halflings, or dwarves. I might consider a Savage Species Medusa with monster levels if she can be worked out. I will take what I am specifically looking for before any other considerations. If it isn't on this list the answer is a hard no and I won't even consider you.
If you are a Wood Elf, your character surname will be Sunrazor, Skyhawk, Fogrunner, or Sunkenharp, and your lineage goes back at least 6 generations where it is connected to the legendary Skyrazor name (swordmasters and crafters) and you are there specifically looking for Ivy Skyrazor, rumored to be in the area.
If you are a Drow Elf, your surname is Sarnor'Lasse, Zezz-tril, or Avuna-d'l'neantak, and you are a servant of House Godelyle, who has recently come to the surface in search of two daughters (T'rissylen and Minylene) who fled to the surface when a trio of rival houses attacked. Your house won, largely in part because of the Matron's favorite male, and Patriarch of the Godelyle bloodline (He's a boss Archmage). During the daughters' absence, they joined up with Count Eastward (of Fort Eastward) and established themselves. T'rissylen is a General, holds the rank of Viscount, and is overseeing his southern expansion. Minylene is a personal bodyguard and known to be a Fort Eastward Champion. For whatever reason, you chose to remain on the surface and aid the military efforts there.
If you are a Wererat or Wight, your powers and true nature won't happen until after you cross the mists. If you're a Medusa you'll be hooded, obviously, and shackled as a prisoner. Unless otherwise specified, your background will be one of the ones mentioned below.
Ability score arrays are:
1. 19, 18, 16, 15, 14, 12
2. 18, 17, 17, 15, 14, 14
3. 20, 16, 15, 15, 15, 13
4. 19, 17, 16, 16, 15, 14
Choose 1.
I do not use flaws. You can have 2 traits. I will not take a prestige class that isn't a Divine Champion or Assassin. I will not take multi-class characters unless they have 1 of my 2 approved prestige classes. Please don't bother asking.
Your character will either be a red guard POW, a FE loyalist, or someone fired from the Blue Diamonds for being a doofus and messing up badly where this caravan was supposed to be your last job before going home. Nope. There are no alternate backgrounds or starting points available.
The Red Guard were the enemies in the former campaign. They were the Cormyrian army (and the higher ranking members were Purple Dragon knights) who had been loyal to Cardinal Northrend (the big bad) Cleric of Tyr that was corrupted by a Pit Fiend using an artifact to kill deities. FE is Fort Eastward, the home base and metropolis city state of the party and major protagonists against the Red Guard. The Blue Diamonds are the mercenary army associated with Fort Eastward.
You won't have any gear once the mists get you. Your introduction will be pretty quick and it will be grizzly.
I expect to post 2-3 times a week. This is a group based game with 3rd person, paragraph format posting. One or Two line posts are considered bad form and viewed negatively. The original characters already in the game have been there for years. While there will be quips and barbs from time to time, please be aware that if you do something goofy like instigate a PvP type of situation you will be 99.9% likely to lose and nobody will feel sorry for you.
This bit is starting off as a prisoner transport caravan that gets attacked and in the process, the mists gobble you up.
That should be all you need to know!
