DnD 3.x (Adult Content)

So okay.  Here is the basic stuff.  This is a long term game that has been active since 2013.  It has gone through several incarnations and storyline plots.  Material gets added and subtracted fairly regularly.  Sprinkle on top that I drive a semi, so there is no routine to when or how often I post.  I handle this by keeping threads small and worthwhile.  Leveling and gear updates that improve character performance are common.  O.Gs. from the beginning are at level 11 now.

Here is what you need to know about the setting.

-I use and abuse Faerun as the baseline world, but I keep very little canon.  I use it mostly for the pantheon and nearby regions.  Most of the rest is my homebrew stuff.
-I use Pathfinder rules.  Mostly.  Certain things I am picky about and have house ruled, but I generally try to favor players and encourage awesomeness.
-Original characters will come in at level 9.
-I will accept Human, Dwarf, Half-elf, Half-Orc, Lizard Folk, Hobgoblin, Bullywug, Halfling, or Genasi (Any) as playable races.
-I will accept Cleric, Fighter*, Rogue, Slayer, Barbarian, Paladin, Anti-Paladin, Warmage, Brawler, Skald, Scout, Ninja, Specialist Wizard (Evoker & Necromancer), and Sorcerer (Elemental, Arcane, oe Undead only) as classes.
-Ability Scores will be generated in game by rolling 4d4+4 reroll 1s.
-Max Health
-I assign specific items in your starting gear so starting wealth varies.
-I'm all Elf'd out. Sorry.
-I'm all Ranger'd out. Sorry.
-I'm all Bard'd out. Sorry.
-We use www.myth-weavers.com to store our character sheets.  You can use whatever you want for your own notes so long as you keep an up to date myth weavers one in game.
-We all hate Tieflings as a character race.  We resent even having to say Tiefling.
-We feel the same way about characters with white hair unless they're old or drow.
-Everyone must have a Divine Patron.  Its important for storyline purposes.
-Acceptable Divine Patrons are: Shar, Selune, Lathander, Oghma, Tyr, Bane, Waukeen, Sune^, Auril (Who is True Neutral and more resembles Emma Frost. Domains change to Weather, Storm, Destruction, & Magic), Sharess, Talos (Who is CN now and more resembles Thor than an angry child), Silvanus, Tymora^, Mask, Kelemvor^, Helm, Loviatar^, & Tempus.  These are also the deities allowed for divine characters.
-DO NOT Use 4rth or 5th ed reference material.  If you can't find it in Pathfinder, go to 3.5.  If you still can't find it, go to 3.0

Okay.  Seems like a lot.

There are also a handful of characters whose original players are no longer with us. They are:
-T'rissylen Godelyl: Neutral Good (alignment shift from TN) drow (noble), Fighter 11; T'riss began the game as the First Daughter (Princess) of her house.  She escaped an all out assault on her House by rivals with her Sister, Minylene, and loyal Bodyguard, Sting, a human Gladiator with obviously more stones than brains.  Currently T'riss is trying to make the best of her life on the surface, adapt or die and all that.  But also, she's done very well for herself.  After several missions for Count Eastward, T'riss was rewarded with a barony and castle along the coast at the edge of his territory.  The assassin chasing her, Master Za'al has been defeated, and Sting is no longer a slave.  After 18 years of waiting for the perfect woman to come around, T'riss finally lowered her guard for a worthy man.  For story purposes, if nobody picks her up to play, T'riss will accept retirement with Sting and give birth to twin girls. Last Seen: Headed back to Fort Eastward with Sting and Leena after defeating the Red Guard Boss Ivanka Stormguard

-Sir Hector Juan Jesus Gonzalas El Castillio del Salvatore; AKA Hector the Long Name: Neutral Good human Swashbuckler 9; Heavily Inspired by Inigo Montoya and Jackie Chan movies, Hector is full of cheese.  He glides through situations and scenes like a confident celebrity that is easy to like.  He is cultured and intelligent and draws his sword as a last resort.  He also has a sense of humor, especially a drinking one.  Hector was last seen years ago, KO'd in a foot pursuit with thieves robbing a bakery.  We'd love to see him again.

If joining this game seems like something you are interested in, come on by.  Lets talk about it.

* = Especially favored Class
^ = I'm "Meh." about this deity choice.  I'm looking for something a little less common.

DnD 3.x (Adult Content)

Ignore most of the Above!

I am taking anywhere between 3 & 7 players to playtest a Specific Class and generate their character following s series of prompts.

-First dibs goes to players already in the game.
-Just about everything you need to know appears when you send an RTJ.
-I am not interested in taking on any alternate character ideas.
-If you must apply to play something else the only option on the table is taking over a previous character that lost their player: Hector the Longname (Human Swashbuckler), T'rissylen Godelyl (Drow Noble Fighter), Erdolliel Skyrazor (Wood Elf Ninja), or Diana Oswald (Half-Elf Selunite Pally).
-Storybucks are a House Rule. You'll see.
-If you're not sure, ask. But don't waste time pitching alternate character ideas. I'm after something specific.

Hope to see you soon!

DnD 3.x (Adult Content) The Mists of Ravenloft Want You

Ignore the posts above!

If you would like to play in a little Ravenloft something, shoot me an RTJ. Don't worry about most of my introduction, an extremely lengthy background, or most of my RTJ phase. This is Pathfinder rules in a more or less homebrew version of the Forgotten Realms setting to start.

You can also create a new character as part of your RTJ. This character must have human as a base race with the wererat or wight (I'm sure there is a way to do it) template. OR it must be a fire genasi, human, elf (wood or drow commoner), or half-elf. 9th level, and be either a Warmage, a Specialist Illusionist wizard, a Fighter, a Cleric of Bane or Lathander, or a Slayer. I may use Archetypes but it is doubtful. If I consider any other classes, they will be Rogues, Psychic Warriors, Elemental (Fire) based Sorcerers, or Scouts. If I consider any other races they will be Water or Earth Genasi, halflings, or dwarves. I might consider a Savage Species Medusa with monster levels if she can be worked out. I will take what I am specifically looking for before any other considerations. If it isn't on this list the answer is a hard no and I won't even consider you.

If you are a Wood Elf, your character surname will be Sunrazor, Skyhawk, Fogrunner, or Sunkenharp, and your lineage goes back at least 6 generations where it is connected to the legendary Skyrazor name (swordmasters and crafters) and you are there specifically looking for Ivy Skyrazor, rumored to be in the area.

If you are a Drow Elf, your surname is Sarnor'Lasse, Zezz-tril, or Avuna-d'l'neantak, and you are a servant of House Godelyle, who has recently come to the surface in search of two daughters (T'rissylen and Minylene) who fled to the surface when a trio of rival houses attacked. Your house won, largely in part because of the Matron's favorite male, and Patriarch of the Godelyle bloodline (He's a boss Archmage). During the daughters' absence, they joined up with Count Eastward (of Fort Eastward) and established themselves. T'rissylen is a General, holds the rank of Viscount, and is overseeing his southern expansion. Minylene is a personal bodyguard and known to be a Fort Eastward Champion. For whatever reason, you chose to remain on the surface and aid the military efforts there.

If you are a Wererat or Wight, your powers and true nature won't happen until after you cross the mists. If you're a Medusa you'll be hooded, obviously, and shackled as a prisoner. Unless otherwise specified, your background will be one of the ones mentioned below.

Ability score arrays are:
1. 19, 18, 16, 15, 14, 12
2. 18, 17, 17, 15, 14, 14
3. 20, 16, 15, 15, 15, 13
4. 19, 17, 16, 16, 15, 14

Choose 1.

I do not use flaws. You can have 2 traits. I will not take a prestige class that isn't a Divine Champion or Assassin. I will not take multi-class characters unless they have 1 of my 2 approved prestige classes. Please don't bother asking.

Your character will either be a red guard POW, a FE loyalist, or someone fired from the Blue Diamonds for being a doofus and messing up badly where this caravan was supposed to be your last job before going home. Nope. There are no alternate backgrounds or starting points available.

The Red Guard were the enemies in the former campaign. They were the Cormyrian army (and the higher ranking members were Purple Dragon knights) who had been loyal to Cardinal Northrend (the big bad) Cleric of Tyr that was corrupted by a Pit Fiend using an artifact to kill deities. FE is Fort Eastward, the home base and metropolis city state of the party and major protagonists against the Red Guard. The Blue Diamonds are the mercenary army associated with Fort Eastward.

You won't have any gear once the mists get you. Your introduction will be pretty quick and it will be grizzly.

I expect to post 2-3 times a week. This is a group based game with 3rd person, paragraph format posting. One or Two line posts are considered bad form and viewed negatively. The original characters already in the game have been there for years. While there will be quips and barbs from time to time, please be aware that if you do something goofy like instigate a PvP type of situation you will be 99.9% likely to lose and nobody will feel sorry for you.

This bit is starting off as a prisoner transport caravan that gets attacked and in the process, the mists gobble you up.

That should be all you need to know!
