Hey gang!
Weird DND gaming concept by a newbie GM. I know there is a desire for DnD 5e games out there and particularly higher level games, this may be the game for you. As mentioned I am a newbie GM so I would love to lean more in the direction of interesting character concepts than legalistic rules debates.
Here is the vague Out of the Abyss like premise!
The Player Characters unexpectedly awakens from a fugue state as prisoners held inside an underground facility—with no idea how they got there, or how much time has passed since their last memory of home.
They must first defend themselves and find their bearings before they can fully understand what’s happened
[OOC: There is a slight element of mystery at least for the opening leg of the adventure but once through that the characters will have a number of leads to track. Players should be strong character concepts that are not dependant on any one particular element or political structure of the Forgotten Realms.

I have a wild campaign in mind that will take your character from a gestalt 10 level character to a 20th level character with suitable social, mental, and physical challenges along the way.]
