Supernatural horror task force

I got inspired rewatching old Criminal minds episodes, and since I've always been a horror lover, I got thinking back to old World of Darkness Project Twilight games. The game I came up with basically crosses Criminal Minds, the X-files, World of Darkness, Grimm, and many many others to coalesce into a ball of chasing the monster of the week alongside a longer overarching character development. The game is set to adult so we can explore the darker, viler and gorier stories as well as deal with more adult subjects in personal relationships.

For over a century the FBI has been a federal police and domestic intelligence agency. In that time, hundreds, if not thousands of cases have come by where there simply wasn't a reasonable explanation for what happened. Serial killings where all victims were drained of their blood, but no sign of anyone having been near the deceased. Families killed while camping, slain by wild animals, but the bites were far larger than any animal could make. People litterally scared to death with no sign of trauma.

Most of these cases were eventually closed, often with fabricated explanations and fictional perpetrators. Others were left open, and slowly moved down to a little filing room in the basement never to be seen or read.

In recent years however, the bureau has seen an uptake in these 'unusual' cases. In early 2016, then president Obama ordered the director of the FBI to set up a special task force. This division was to report only to the director and the president, and be exempt from congressional oversight.

It took over four years for this division to be properly funded and staffed, but now it is finally up and running. Drawing its members from the ranks of the FBI, Military intelligence, and local police forces as well as directly from universities and the corporate field, the taskforce consists of field agents, researchers, forensic experts, computer specialists and others.

Tasked with solving crimes of an unexplained nature and hunting monsters that normal people aren't equipped to deal with, these agents undergo a special training taking six to nine months. But more than that, anyone becoming a member must be fully divested from their previous life, to protect their loved ones as well as to prevent connections being leveraged. After their death is faked, they are given a brand new identity. Housing is arranged on the division's private campus in West Virginia.

Today after all this planning, the task force receives its first case, and well, its a doozy.
