[Shadow of the Demon Lord] A Rising Darkness
The small town of Mournrest lies far to the north in the Northern Reach, near the edges of blasted wasteland known as The Desolation. Originally starting off as a small village providing supplies and sundries to the citadel of Neverfall, it grew into the town it is today even as the citadel it served, ironically, fell into disuse and ruin.
These days Mournrest is known among certain circles to be the place to go in order to be forgotten. Therefore it has become a haven of sorts for those wishing to fall off the face of Urth and fade from memory, be it for crimes they may or may not have committed, a desire to start life anew after a lifetime of disappointments and failures, or even to mend the pain of a broken heart.
Few know it yet but a shadow has fallen upon the small town, its peoples and its environs, and will soon engulf them all in a tide of darkness unlike any faced in their lives...
This will be a game using the Shadow of the Demon Lord rules. The game will be story oriented rather than an open world sandbox, with opportunities for role-playing and NPC/World interaction, along with exciting combat encounters serving to advance the story. I am looking for 5 PCs to join and tell this tale.
This won't be first come/first served, quality of applications matter. I will be leaving RTJs open for a week from today (or more if I haven't filled all the slots by that time)
