This is the story of the people of Thesrane, an out-of-the-way coastal city in the fantastic lands of Nerus. It is a sandbox style game that encourages players to develop and see through their own storylines with GM, NPC, and player assistance. It will have a central storyline that moves the game, the setting, and time forward. The world is largely a blank slate and will focus on a few major rules and details to hold everything together, beginning with the community of Thesrane as a more fleshed out and realized location.

Players should bring something fun and different to the table, but there is still ample room for characters who are relatively average in the grand scheme of things.

It is free form with a primary focus on creating well written content.

Wait, Don't Leave Yet!

This is a very sparse post, I know, but that's because while this setting is ready for player inspection, it is a loose idea with tons of room for player freedom and contribution. This game might have my name on it, but it's our story. Consider it basically a general fantasy setting with a few rules and guidelines and such, but with plenty of room for player input to make it something they want to be a part of.

Expect to see the game updated regularly with new information fleshing it out. If you're on the fence about the idea, just add it to your list and watch the post count grow as the place is fleshed out and made real. Looking forward to chatting with the shy and reclusive writers of RPOL about this, because over everything else this is an exercise in creative writing.
