I am the ancient, I am the land.
My beginnings are lost in the darkness of the past.
I am not dead. Nor am I alive.
I am undead, forever.
-Strahd von Zarovich, Tome of Strahd
It isn't the first time it's been advertised, gang, and it won't be the last ... but I would like to try my hand at helming my very own
Curse of Strahd, campaign.
As a setting, I've been a fan of Ravenloft from way back in the 2nd edition days. I'm an even bigger fan of horror in general [movies, books, comics, etc]. So I'd like to tell the story in that vein. Jump scares, a sense of pervasive dread, the monster that lurks just out of sight. You can expect all of that ... and all of it deliciously over the top.
D&D being what it is, there will be fights of course, and they will be deadly. In between my attempts though, to usher your PC's into early — and one would assume, shallow and unmarked — graves, there will also be a fair amount of roleplay and exploration scenes.
If this sounds like something you can sink your teeth into ... pop on over, I'd love to see what sort of
victim, I mean, character you had in mind.
