Re: Tali's Arrival
Tali climbed into the truck, smiling appreciatively at his attempt at easing the social situation with jokes. She put the card with the numbers in her pocket, and listed and watched as they rolled over to the townhouses. She smiled and nodded as he pointed out where people were staying, and smiled as he commented on Steele's residence location being far away. After the truck stopped, she climbed out and nodded at Bronk. She said, "Thank you for the help. I will call soon I am thinking." She smiled and then looked toward "Jack" as he approached and introduced himself.
As Bronk explained what she was doing here, Tali felt another set of butterflies enter her stomach. She really, really hoped she didn't travel around the world just to end up on the drilling team. Her smile never faltered as she quashed the inner turmoil and nodded as jack explained a few more things. She smiled and raised her hand at Bronk as he retreated to do his own thing, and then returned her full attention to Jack. Tali shook her head when asked if there were any other questions. She smiled and said, "Thank you Jack. Very nice for meeting you."
Tali waited to see if the man could think of anything else, and as he left she stood outside and looked around the area. She smiled and looked up at the sky, squinting one eye as she looked toward the sun slowly setting in the west. She entered her residence, shut the door and immediately saw her bags were piled neatly near the entrance. She smiled and moved to her carry-on. Tali opened one of the pockets on the side, and pulled a dark blue scarf from within it. She draped the scarf over her head and around her throat. She took a deep cleansing breath, faced the east, closed her eyes, and lowered her head slightly. She remained standing for several minutes, rocking slightly back and forth, and saying nothing audible, though her lips moved almost constantly. When she completed, she removed and carefully folded the scarf, before returning it to the pocket.
Tali moved around the interior of the townhouse to familiarize herself with its layout. She was impressed by the comfort the home seemed to provide, and nodded. She gathered her bags and took them to the bedroom to unpack. She checked her watch on her right wrist and moved into the living room to wait for when she thought would be a good time to call Adam for that ride.
