DaCuseFrog:
I love this idea in theory. I have some character concepts that I never got to see through to high levels.
Glad to hear it and this is exactly what I had in mind. I'm sure that many players are in the same boat, having too many ideas for characters that they never get to play or try out.
DaCuseFrog:
My one concern would be that due to the popularity of 5e, you will see a lot of interest in the game. Are you accepting all-comers, or do you have a "weeding out" process?
That's the point I wasn't quite certain about. I'm well aware of the fact that more traditional games (compared to my idea) garner a lot of interest in general, but maybe that wouldn't be the same for the game I'm presenting. Hence the IC here.
As to your question, that's not easy to answer for me right now as well. Usually I invite based on the quality of the application (writing style, deep and interesting character background and personality, etc.), but this will not really be possible for this one. Usually not that sure about a 'writing example' either, as those can be simply copy&pasted from anywhere. So, to be honest, not quite sure how to proceed if I get too many people.
DaCuseFrog:
How many people will you take in the game?
For the start I planned for some 6-10 max, creating two groups if possible and then go from there. If, over the next couple of weeks, I see that I'm able to handle another group, I'll open the game for some more players.

Also, since many characters will be "made to order," there will sometimes be a time delay before each mission can really start. You will definitely need a "downtime" thread of some sort for general roleplay while everyone finishes their sheets.
That is a great idea! Character creation in 5E takes not that long, but especially for the higher levels it will take at least a few days. Having a place other than the obvious 'OOC'-thread to talk ingame should help in keeping everyone invested and interested hopefully. Thanks!
