Blizzard is remastering Diablo 2 and I finally thought that I might take a stab at a short jaunt through Act 1. Currently, I'm not planning anything ambitious, just take some players through an immediate threat to the Rogue Encampment.

Are you planning to use the actual 3e Diablo supplement for this game?

If I can I will. Otherwise, I'll be plundering all my d20 stuff to come up with something to convert. I want to stay as true to the game as I can.

I would recommend it if you have the option, if only for the fact that you won't have to stat all those critters!

The Diablo 2 book is great for 3.0 in a lot of ways and super true to Diablo 2 which means you really could do Diablo through Diablo 3 if you really want as far as plot went. Just saying. If you want just an old school dungeon crawl setup Undermountain from Forgotten Realms works as well. If you do run Diablo 2 would it just be those classes or standard D&D classes as well?

Right now, I think I'm going to bring both Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction and regular classes in excluding repeats. For example no 3.5 e Barb instead of Diablo Barb, Sorceress instead of Sorceror, no specialist Wizard variants except the Diablo Necromancer, Diablo Druids instead of 3.5 druids. Diablo Paladins instead of 3.5 Paladins. Yes, you can have Rogues instead of an Assassin and Rangers instead of Amazons.
