Since the Great War or is it later became known World War I heroes have been operating off and on, more off than on. That is until recently. Their existance in the modern day is more hushed whispers & rumors.

That was until Superman. For four years he protected his adoptive home world. Superman still recovering from Kryptonite poisoning was forced to fight Doomsday. Over half of Metropolis was destroyed that day. Superman was torn limb from limb. With his dying breath Superman destroyed Doomsday. The world mourned for months.

The day Superman died inspired others to rise up and to do what they could. None could replace Superman they only hoped to honor his memory by saving as many people as they could.

The Batman a valuable sometimes ally of Superman, has begun recruiting the rising hero population to form an alliance with the hopes that as a team they could do what Superman could have done alone.

Out of curiosity, what game system would this be?

Would the heroes joining Batman be canon, or all original? If all original, is the rest of the canon DC universe around?
