T2K 4th edition games

Just got my Kickstarter PDF, I'd like to try the game even though I haven't had time to check the system fully.

Same for me. I'd be willing to try some sort of game.

T2K is always interesting.  Didn't even know they were making a new edition, lol.

If something comes from this, I'd like to see how it plays out. I'm really liking the Free League system, and T2K been a game I've wanted to see in action for a while.

Re: T2K 4th edition games

After setting up my own little game board area to try some solo gaming with T2K4E, the very first issue I ran into was the dice rolling. Given the 'two-dice' mechanics, with the in house dice roller you end up having to make quite a few separate dice rolls.

So, if you are going to run a full-on campaign, be prepared for a ream of dice rolls when it comes to combat. Skill rolls are still a chore, but combat I found to be a cluster.

CTWraith:
a ream of dice rolls

I usually handle this by asking for all potential rolls from the beginning. Or even by asking each player to submit 100 rolls from the beginning and then myself roll d100 to pick from their list when needed. Or make all rolls myself (which of course might take some fun out of playing. But so does waiting for two days for someone to resolve one action.

Re: T2K 4th edition games

In reply to Puckohue (msg # 10):

My RL brother has run a T2K game here in rpol, and I have participated in a few others here as well. In general the GM ended up doing all of the dice rolls. Players stated there actions and intentions, then GM interpreted and rolled the dice.

It means a lot of work for the GM, and a lot of trust from players. It does mean that, as a player, you quickly learn to be clear and explicit in your posts to avoid ambiguity .
