Re: Running with the Devil - Uesugi-san
Initially, your embrace did not sit well with you. As a kid, you had never really put a whole lot of stock into tradition. If that was the case, you wouldn't have been the black sheep. But after you had assumed your brother's role, becoming much more responsible and practical, you needed something to sink your roots into. The obvious choice was Tradition. Tradition dictated you did not fuck with your ancestors. This alone caused something of a schism for you. Your new existence, your whole clan actually, was a parody of everything tradition held as valuable. Giovanni pointedly fucked with the dead.
It was your sire who had put things into perspective for you. As a mortal, you found out, your sire was a Catholic priest. He too, was a black sheep, and like you, he had had reservations about disturbing the dead. It was one of those long, educational talks that his wisdom sunk in. Would you deny a farmer a plow, because it allows him to cut through the ground better? Of course not. So then, how does that relate to an undead monster and their dealings with the spiritual world? Well as a mortal, didn't you look to the ancestors for guidance? So now as a Giovanni, you had direct access to the dead.
While some of the things your other clanmates did was disturbing, you understood that there was a certain necessity for your clan to do things everyone else found uncomfortable.
Right now, you had time to reflect as you awaited the arrival of your sire. He had been somewhat vague, but told you it was important that you had prepared a proper greeting. Tonight, your sire, Diangello was bringing a guest - a member of your clan that you had not met before.
OOC: Cool. Here is your start. Feel free to embellish just a bit with what the scene looks like and what your haven is. You are going to be host. :P
