So... no start date for me.  I have said numerous times that there isn't one for me yet.  I still have too much to do.  Monday I am going through a move.  Won't lose any internet service though.  I'm also working 6 days this week.  Things will slow down for me probably Tuesday evening, maybe even a bit this Saturday.

And I know what's aggravating Ac1d as to why he hasn't started yet.  Not a single player has followed directions.  He very explicitly pointed out that you must send him (not both of us, him) a completed copy of the character sheet (including your character goals) with the topic title "Anarch" or "Anarch Character", or something like that.  Not "My character sheet" or "A question." Ac1d is like me.  He deletes Private Messages.  :P

Also, we've both put out numerous things to give you bonus exp and made mention on where we are hurting.  When I am the only one plugging away, or when he is the only one plugging away, it takes time.  In my case it takes a lot of time because I also play in other games to kind of sooth my GM burnout.

Having said that...

I have put in a lot of time over the last few days.  If you'll note the cast thread, every single NPC is now blue, meaning that at the very least their vitals, embrace date, clan, and overall difficulty are posted.  I've also started to tinker away at the lexicon.  So, we are still pretty busy and trying to keep things moving along.

I may have been too solo-dimensional with that previous comment, so let me address the situation entirely.

Besides just telling me that you want to start, what would you actually like to see me get so starting becomes an option.  If it were me, I won't start until I am comfortable that enough information has been posted and that enough things are filled out and ready to go so that this game can be taken right out of the package and played as is.

But I also know that not all of that is necessary for it to be playable by others.

THERE IS NO ETA START DATE FOR THE CAM SIDE.

I have pointed out numerous times that there is no start date in the foreseeable future for my side.  Ac1d and I have both pointed out things that need to be done in order to get this ball rolling down the hill.

None of you have pitched in to do anything.  Prague has helped with 3 NPC descriptions.  You're all quick to suck up bonus exp I toss out, but getting important stuff done - all you need to do is look at the Anarch survival guide or the cast thread and find NPCs that don't have descriptions - all lands on my shoulders.

I do not have enough hours in the day to keep up with all of the stuff I need to do IRL, to stay active as a player in the games I play in, and then turn around and work on this game here, only to see that nobody is pitching in.

So now I am calling some of you out.

Either follow Ac1d's directions and send him your Anarchs, help out with the stuff I said needs help, or be like Purple and Phunny, just be silent and continue to wait.

I should not have to fuss at anyone.  Especially when all y'all want is to just have this game started and rolling.  I get it.  I just wished some of you would meet me half way.

part of why i'm not helping design npc's is because I've no idea about who they're supposed to be, and if i have to ask you that, then you're already doing half the work.

not to mention I don't consider my character description skills ot be up to the task.

I have however not pushed at any point, for you to quicken the game launch, granted I could go put my anarch together, but I've had a really rough time recently.

I mean I only just recently found the time to add even a small bit to my own bio.

In regards to the NPCs, it might make sense to leave some of them blank so you can use them to fill in gaps later on without having to introduce a flood of new characters.

Ok.  That comment makes more sense.

But, I would hope that simply by taking a look, one could see that I am in no position to start on a major Storyline right now.

What I might do is give players a chance to post up in a scene or something to get a feel for their characters.

I know Purple knows Natalya inside and out.  Dejavue knows Marissa inside and out.  Ac1d knows Madhu.

But some of you newbies could use a way to get a feel for the characters.

I know my guy inside and out. I ran him in a different game way back when and had a blast (which sometimes was metaphorical and sometimes was literal. I love arms dealers :D)


I really like him because he is a self started kind of character. You could throw him in a vacuum and he would still have fun all by himself just shooting an AK off at bottles, attempting to get drunk etc. etc.

Yes.  That is exactly the sort of things we are looking for with regards to what to do with Characters.  Ac1d and I can run scenes for each other all day long because they're easy.  Figuring out what I want to do with my characters is never a problem.  The thing I think that throws a lot of people off is that whole "Give us some character goals".

Some of the most awesome scenes come about simply from a voiced desire to do X.

I wanna do a feeding scene.

The target is one of those girls who looks like she is about 19 or 20, but is actually 16.  She snuck out with some friends, got into a club because she looks 19, but has 36D breasts with a low cut top, a mini-skirt, and lots of visible leg.  She is tipsy, of course, and to a predator, is easily out of her league.

And then I botch the self-control roll to avoid too much blood.

Enter Lorelei Koenig, Dragon's Oops.

Lorelei is so idiotic, the only reasons she's still alive is because she's Dragon's childe. Better off draining her yourself to at least get the embarassment out of the way.

Guess what?

I am in an awesome mood today, even though I gotta work here in a couple hours.  Look for the Cam side to have it's start date sometime tonight or tomorrow.  I still have some updates to do regarding the clan information, but the Lexicon is finished thanks to Bahriel (or all but finished, just needs to be copied and pasted).

I can most likely get the Clan info finished for the core clans.  I will be working on that and finishing off a few of the more important NPC bios that aren't yet done (and I think are necessary).  I still have some more things to add to the survival guide, like Elysium locations and all of that hooplah, but it isn't entirely necessary to kick things off.

The opening scene will be for Cam characters, and it will be entitled "Dragon's First Rule".  It will be big.  It will be a summary of events over the last year while Charlotte worked out it's pecking order and the new regime solidified it's place.
