USS Ticonderoga 2. 2 January, 2098
Sitting in the Admiral's waiting area at 0700, Kai gets to see three CIA Agents walk in shortly after flanked by another civilian who just "looks" dangerous. The senior agent walks in to the Admirals office without so much as a knock while the others remain outside. One of them is one that was highlighted by the voice from the day before as a possible PAA operative. For the other man, Kai has seen the type, probably ex delta or seal who's gone to work for the agency and likes killing just a bit too much. Shortly after the XO of the Hornet arrives and enters after knocking and given permission. You can see there are two ship security officers inside the room. The argument grows heated fairly quickly from what you can hear. Eventually NCIS agent Garrett Shows up with his second plus the computer tech you were with. Both of them remain outside near Kai while the other two enter the room. About 5 minutes later, they call Kai into the room.
Admiral Miriam Grey is young for her rank and made a mark during the South American Uprisings and distinguished herself in Command during the Jakarta coup. Fearce grey-green eyes, dark hair and olive skin belie her mixed-Mediterranean heritage though she speaks with a solid southern drawl. She appraises Kai as he enters the room while the others regard him at various stages. The XO and NCIS agents both nod while the CIA agent Lynch glowers as only a company man can in their self assured way. Putting him at ease, Admiral Grey addresses Kai. [Secret to group English: "Lieutenant, we've had an interesting 24 hours. Captain Daltan and I are aware that you went to the facility to follow up on a lead from yesterday's activities. Just so you know, we've already been relieved of our captive by Agent Lynch and his team. They came late last night and took it. I've heard Agent Lynch's version of events and he says you disregarded his attempt to control the situation, a civilian matter, removed evidence from the scene and threatened his men with violence. Agent Garret, for his part claims this is a Naval crime scene since the attack took place on our ships and was surprised at the latter but did't disagree, though he claims no knowledge of any evidence pilfering. I'll let their agencies determine who has authority here but I'd like to hear your side of events." ]
