Taking a deep breath, the gunslinger opens the first door on the right on the main floor. Easily it opens up. Its a small room, probably about 20 by 20. It looks like a office. Two chairs and a table with a bookshelf. About six old books are on it. Some of the shelves are broken and its a bit of a surprise its still standing. The area is covered in dust. A mirror is on the left wall, about ten feet long by five feet wide.

Clay has a look at the room. He checks if there are signs of being used in the last few days. With dust everywhere any any footprints or so should be easy to spot.
He gets in carefully and has a look at the mirror. Some mirrors are used as secret doors in his experience.
"Anything you've found here flies? or should they leave footprints when they move around?"
He asks as he doesn't want to lose to much time here.

10:05, Today: Valril Clay Yeldithas rolled 21 using 1d20+12.  Perception check.

Jalmin looked into the room as well.

"Be careful of that mirror, I would wonder if it is magical." Jalmin searching his memory from the doorway not getting to close to the item until Clay gives his okay. Jalmin attempts to see if he has encountered any knowledge concerning the mirror.

OOC: Jalmin Vulast rolled 25 using 1d20+11.  Knowledge Arcana to examine the mirror from afar.

Ironson replies as he peers into the room. Looking for signs of activity with Valril.

"The winter wolf was physical so it left footprints.  But the spirit didn't leave them."

The mirror just looks like well a mirror. Nothing odd about it. There's no sign of anyone entering or leaving the room. Its just dusty, nothing sticking out. Everyone is in the hallway, peering in. The cleric's light spell illuminating it.

Jalmin moved into the room. He began to investigate the room to determine what he could from the evidence in the space about the children they were looking for, or any information about the challenges they would face.

Clay enters the room as well once he's church there are no footprints to damage in it.
He looks behind the mirror and around the room. Checks for drawers if there ara any, and reads the names of the books in the bookshelf, in case anyone recognizes any of them.

Zil listens as Clay reads the names of the books so that she could determine if she was familiar with any of the titles.

Ironson watches outside the room in case something tried to sneak up on the group.  He also listens to the names of the books being read out loud. He doubts he will recognize them. But there is a small chance.

The books titles are hard to make out, most of which don't even have titles least not obvious ones. One of them looks like some sort of journal but its blank. Some of the books are crumbling apart as the rogue checks them. Bits of paper swish though the air and stop as they hit the ground. Once done, he checks the remaining area and for drawers but finds nothing. Most are just odds and ends-some old ink and paper. Seems like if anything important was here its long gone. Perhaps not the main office maybe?

The gunslinger glances at the dwarf as he waits on either side of the door. His eyes narrow and glances inside.

Clay, after checking the room, shrugs his shoulders "It seems there's nothing of interest here."
He leaves the room and moves quietly to the next room on the right side. Seems that most of the building has been empty for a very long time, but they'd better be meticulous.
He looks at the next door for signs of manipulation, and if he sees nothing suspicious, opens it and he has a look inside.

11:27, Today: Valril Clay Yeldithas rolled 15 using 1d20+12.  Perception check.

As Clay leaves the room Jalmin wait a moment before he pronounced the verbal components of his Detect Magic cantrip while his hands move along arcane patterns to shape the magic. Jalmin concentrates upon the cantrip as he evaluates the space before finally leaving the room.

Ironson lets the others out of the room and then asks.

"Which way are we going now?"

He doesn't seem to have much to say beyond his question.

Jalmin concentrated on his magic somewhat as he looked around the room. Within seconds the older gentleman found himself drawn to the mirror.

"Hang on a second folks." Jalins said as he narrowed his eyes.

Jalmin walked over closer to the mirror.

"It is enchanted. I can't tell to what end, but it is definitely magical." Jalmin said a touch of worry rising to the surface of his voice.

Zil nodded.

"If we can't find out more about it, let's steer clear of it. Could you use your traveling cloak to cover it maybe? Just to be safe?"

Clay turns as the wizard speaks. He was already half way out of the room. Then asks "Should we try to break it just in case? Or is it bed luck?"
He smiles at his own comment. "I can imagine a horrible monster attacking our back using that mirror as a magic door. We should be careful with it."

"I would hate to destroy it, when we do not know what it does. It could be something that we want, or need for that matter." Jalmin said as he removed his travelers coak.

"But Zilyana is right, if it is a scying device, obscuring sight is a good idea." the mage said as he draped his cloak over the mirror.

"Hopefully that is enough.

"Let's keep the order we were following. So the next one should the the room on the right." Clay says with not a lot of conviction. He has no other preference other than being methodic in the way they check the rooms.
He moved to the next room and as done before he checks the door before touching it, then listens for sounds on the other side and then tries to open it if everything seems OK.

20:53, Today: Valril Clay Yeldithas rolled 22 using 1d20+12 ((10)).

The gunslinger notices the others as he remains silent. He goes to the next door, glancing at the rogue. Neither of them do not hear anything odd. The next room is small and has three chairs and a table. The door does have a lock but has been broken some time ago.
