Cannot Unstylize

I don't know if this is the right place to put this, but I've recently encountered a strange bug that occurs once in a while, where the text will not unstylize itself.

For example, I'll have This part in seagreen and serif And then close the statement to turn off the colouring (as I have now) and font change, except for some reason it won't close and all of this will be seagreen and serif as well. However, if I remove the serif, it fixes itself, so it is no longer seagreen. But when I readd the serif, it does it again. Does anyone know why this happens and how I can fix it?

And example of how it looks when bugged is: (Note: the </serif> and </seagreen> would both be in the same spot as in the original. This is just to show how it looks)

I have a possible answer for you: Placement of the tags. Whichever tag comes first at the beginning has to come second at the end. If you use the highlight function that should take care of itself, but if you're putting in the tags manually, you may get the order wrong, which always causes me an issue.

For example:
Seagreen Serif CONTENT /Serif /SeaGreen should work, but NOT:
Seagreen Serif CONTENT /Seagreen /Serif

Or it might not be that, of course. But it's an issue I've had with other tags when using multiple tags.

Re: Cannot Unstylize

The other way to think of it is whatever you last "opened" has to close first.

a b c /c /b /a

The other place I've seen people trip up is when they put an opening tag outside of a private line but the closing tag is inside of one.  Looks fine for the sender and recipients of the private line but anyone else doesn't see the closing tag.

Follow the above rule for any tags (and not just RPoL, applies to all web) and you'll be fine.
