Thorin considered a few actions. Running across the bridge but it looked to rickety for such an endeavor and it might get him flanked by the orcs on the other side. He considered then carefully making his way across with the sanctuary spell but the orcs might cut the bridge ropes. So he settles on firing his bow at the closest one he can see.

The three orcs open fire from within! Two shots fire upon Tai and one on Perrin! One barely hits the samurai.

Gar and Thorin fires at the orcs on the other side of the bridge but miss.

Landor casts a spell but it misses the orcs on the side of the bridge.

Tai fires at the ones outside! It hits and one of the orcs falls with its head between one of the arrow slots.

The orcs look confused by the spiritual weapon but then fire at Thorin and Gar! Both miss! They hunker down behind pillars.

Peeking out from where he was hiding, Perrin creates a magical dart and fires it at the orc that he was exchanging projectiles with, or another one that he can see should that one be dead already.

Thorin fires his bow again and the dwarf growls it seems as he watches yet another arrow fly off target not by inches but by yards.

The spiritual mace followed the orc behind the pillar and struck it right between the eyes. Landor thought about walking carefully across the bridge holding onto both ropes as he goes for stability, but then realizes he would probably just fall and die.“Some days it sucks wearing all this armor.”

The half orc picks up the bow, and decides to try one last time with the bow. Hisstubborness pays off, hitting one of them with a minor hit

Loading his sling, Perrin fired at the same orc while waiting for the all clear from those inside the door.

Landor still hunkers down behind his shield. Once the first orc drops into the pit, he motions with his mace to the other orc. The magical mace swings at the other orc.

It becomes quickly apparent that Thorin does not excel at archery.

Gar, finally getting used to the bow (Though not liking it), took aim with another arrow, muttering under his breath. "Damn hit the swine!" He fired, seeing it soar, and hit the orc solidly. Gar allowed a smile....even though he wasn't one for ranged weapons, he was doing ok.

Perrin throws the stone and hits his mark.

The orcs do not fire in return. After a few seconds they emerge within the fort and fire at the ones inside but miss! A secret door is shifted before they enter as they fire with their bows!

Gar fires and hits his mark. He stumbles and falls into the crevesse!

The cleric is defensive and doesn't move his spiritual weapon.

Tai goes inside and fires! He kills one of the orcs!

Thorin turns and fires but misses.

Landor turns to where the orc from the arrow slit emerged from and heads in its direction. Meanwhile, the power of his prayer reaches it limit and fizzles. Since there was a secret passage, perhaps there were more, so they wouldn’t have to cross the bridge. When he reaches where the orc is he swings wide as his shield gets in the way.

Spell reaches duration.

Gar, seeing te orc emerge on his side of the bridge grins with glee, dropping the bow and grabbing his great axe, runs in swinging with a roar, swiping at the orcs midsection.

When no more arrows were shot in their direction, Perrin turned to Tai and let out a sigh. "Guess we should get in there and help out, huh?" Shaking his head for a moment, the gnome ran towards the doorway while reloading his sling, but when he went to release it his aim was the best given the new angle that he had positioned himself at.

Thorin sees his fellows move against the orc coming out of the place and he decides given his marksmanship so far this day that shooting into the melee would produce bad results.

He moves to engage switching his bow for his shortsword, he'll move if possible to flank with another of the characters before striking, but if that's not possible he'll just attack him normally. Finding himself able to flank his opponent he is able to sink his short sword into the Orcs back.

The orc is torn in literally half as the barbarian rips into him! His entire body is severed down the middle and collapses, one half to the ground and the other down the deep crevasse!

Tai tilts his head, lowering his bow. He whistles and points towards the now open secret door.

Thorin moves to the secret door to have a look to see if anymore orcs are just inside the door.

"So we are going into the secret tunnel, yes? Call out there numbers if you see any," suggested Perrin as he pulled out a small vial and drank from it. He really didn't like getting within such close firing range, but it seemed unavoidable at this point.

Landor moved up to behind Thorin and waited for his report. He whispered just in case there were more enemies. “Is that all of them? I would prefer we take this passage instead of the bridge.”

Gar, snorting at the half of the orc, looked at the others with a smile. "Damn that felt good.....its been a while." Seeing the dwarf heading for the tunnel, he put a hand on his shoulder. "Let be take lead....they see this axe and they'll think twice."

In truth that was part of it....the other is he wanted payback on every orc he saw, and his axe would do the talking

Thorin takes a step back and looks at the design of the structure. He whispers to his fellows "This might not be the only one into it, stay here."

He'll then move to the approximate right side wall and look for a secret door.

"Do you think we should risk a torch of some kind so we don't miss anything," asked Perrin as they waited to see if Thorin found a second door.

"I can see in the dark lad but if you need a torch be sure to use it. I can't seem to find a secret door on this side, I suppose the one they opened is the only one." Thorin tells the others. "What order shall we enter it lads?"

"I'd prefer being second or third in our walking order, so that I'm not the first to engage but also not the one that has to worry about getting snuck up on should they come from behind." If the orcs were luring them into a trap, then a slender corridor would be the perfect way to surround them. "Not saying that I won't pull my weight. I'm just not the best in close quarters."
