Gar, still in his rage, backhands with his axe at the remaining wolf, his axe biting into the wolf with a sickening thud

Seeing the ogre finally fall along with one of the two wolves, he decides to try and help endthis battle quickly. He spins around and slams his mace into the back leg of the wolf.

Slipping out his sling, Perrin flung a stone at the wolf that was attacking Gar.

The wolf falls to the ground. Tai takes a deep breath, sheathing his sword. Against the wall are two chests, and of course Ulfe.

Landor straightens and walks over to Gar. One hand on his holy symbol while the other on Gar’s shoulder, he gives him an approving nod. “Pelor always blesses the brave.”Gar would see all of his wounds magically heal completely as if they never happened.

Used Cure Light Wounds domain spell and sacked a Light spell for Cure Minor Wounds to put Gar all the way back up to full.

The half orc sighs as his wounds close up and he looks at Landor. "My thanks to you brother....those damn wolves took a bite out of me!" He kicked one of the corpses, feeling the lethargy of battle seep through his bones, he sighs.

He stands and then begins searching the orge and the chests, dragging the huge axe to the side, he looks at it. "Shame it wasn't smaller...." he muttered

"Well, that was something. Perhaps one of us should keep an eye out the way we came just in case the roaring attracted someone's attention," commented Perrin as he moved over to assist Gar with the searching of the chests. Though, he really just sort of stood there and waited to see what was inside.

The rogue checks the chest for traps but finds nothing nor are they locked. He pulls them open and reveals several items then checks the ogre but the only thing of any use is the huge greataxe.

Landor will scoop up 88 gold and 320 silver as his share of the loot. Then he will move over to the door to keep a look out. “At this point, how many doorways and passages do we have left besides the one with the winged creatures in it? We haven’t come across a major force yet.”

The barbarian takes the coins with a nod, placing them in a pouch, and then looks at the rapier. Though not a weapon he would use, a smile crossed his face. "If no one has a use for the rapier, I may have one when we get back to the town. Perrin....you hold the potion until we know what it does."

The orc scratched his chin at the question from landor. "From memory....a few. There's the other passage....plus the door with the dwarf statue." The barbarian, gathering up everything of use, makes for the door and returns down the passages to another door, stopping to smile at tai. "You fight well, my friend. Are you ok....you took quite a hit."

Tai grabs his share of the loot (Same as Lan). He tilts his head and points at the rapier then to Thorin, tilting his head. He waits on this and nods his head after he was asked if it did some damage. The kenku raises up his shirt and its covered in bruises, and he winces. He then points at Lan and whistles, bowing his head to him.

Thorin asks for the rapier and takes his loot as well and offers Perrin his share.

Perrin gives a nod and takes possession of the potion and his share of the loot, and he stowed all of it in his pack to be dealt with at a later time. "So are we checking out the other passage before the dwarf door, then?"

Gar looks at the group and nods. "If the damn statue comes to life I'd rather we clean the orcs out first." He looks at tai, for confirmation. "But the only other door has the birds. So by all the gods, let's do this. Let's see what's behind that damn door with the statue."

Landor nods in agreement. “After you then.”

The dwarf goes over to the statue and finds something odd. He pulls out his tools and tells the others it was trapped and he took care of it.

Tai goes to open the door and it opens easily.

This large chamber is filled with rough-hewn bunks, tables and chairs and the floor is strewn with filthy pelts. At a glance it appears that perhaps a dozen or so humanoids might live here.

A older orc stands against the backwall, and readies one to thrown! Four other orcs stand in front of him with weapons unsheathed!

Gar, axe in hand, watched as the dwarf disarmed the trap and opened the door. Looking in, he finally saw the cause of his pain.....the orcs who attacked him, to took the farme s wife.

....who took the girl.

With a feral snarl, he waded in, the closest orc he slashed his axe with a visions verticle swipe

Landor waited patiently for Thorin to unlock and open the door. When it finally opened, he wasn’t surprised to see the source of what had been plaguing the town. He simply raised his mace and charged the nearest orc. “For Pelor!”

Muttering a few words, Dimble unleashed a magical dart at the older orc that was leaning against the wall, and then the little gnome pulled out his spear just in case one of the orcs go close to him.

Tai slips in and jumps in the air. He lands, facing the leader. Sword out, he chops the head off of the orc with a single move!

Thorin fires at one of the orcs, killing it!

Landor moves in and attacks, killing another orc.

Gar moves at the last two orcs, chopping one of them down.

Finally, the halfling uses a spell hitting the last orc killing it.

Sheathing his sword, the samurai sits down and waits to see how the others react to the carnage.

"Well, that was something," mumbled the sorcerer as the battle came to an end. He hadn't expected there to be so much blood involved in this rescue mission, but he was grateful that none of his companions had fallen during any of the battles. Going through the bodies, Perrin took his share of the coin found, which was 8 gold and 50 silver.

"Anyone able to use any of this stuff, or should we leave it until we clear this place out?"

Gar smiles at tai and gives him an approving nod. "Glad Ye be on my side tai.....your lethal with that blade." He then walks over to the pile of gear salvaged. He collects his share of coins, and smiles as he picks up the hand axe, noting its quality and weight. "If I can, I'd li,e the hand axe.....a nice back up weapon or for tight spaces. The throwing axes too....I'm not one for bows."

He also looks at the scale mail, but waits for anyone else....the axes were his style, and though usually scale is better armor than chain, his had some sentimental value.

Landor kneels before the fallen orcs and makes a prayer that their souls will find peace in the afterlife. He didn’t like this wanton carnage, but it was for the safety of the village. He stands back up and collects his portion of the currency of 8 gold and 50 silver but leaves the rest. He turns to the open door. “Do you think that was the last of them? Should we go to the door with the winged creatures?”

"Unless anyone objects to it, I'd say go ahead and grab what you need, Gar. None of these weapons or armor are of use to me," stated the sorcerer before turning to look at Landor before grabbing the potion. He figured he was just going to be the potion holder until told otherwise.

"Are we sure we want to deal with those birds?" suggested Perrin.

Landor rubbed his chin in thought before responding. “Since they are locked in there, there’s no reason why we can’t rest in one of the rooms and regain our strength. The birds don’t seem to be able to open the door, so let’s start fresh tomorrow. We have no idea how far the passage goes or what could be in there with those birds. For all we know, some other beast dwells within it.”

"I'm okay with resting for the night if that is what we want to do," stated Perrin as he looked to the others to see if anyone objected.
