(IC) The End or the Beginning?

“Okay okay. I’ll check it out. I don’t have any other pressing matters anyways. Do you have any contacts in that town?”He leaned back in his chair and feels him bump into something. He looks up to see Tai staring down at him with his arms crossed. “Oh hey Tai. I was starting to get worried about you. A shadow as ever I see.”

"I was there as a young man. Long time ago. Wiston, yes. Well that was his last name. He should be able to help." The man thanks Lan, taking his hand lightly "Thank you, thank you so much. Some I met refused to listen to me. Truly...I do not know if this vision was true. But thank you by Pelor's might. Is there something I can do to help?" Two more Pelorians move towards him as well, all are younger then the man and armed with longswords and their shields bearing the Pelorian mark:

The samurai whistles and watches them approach "Shadow as every I see." His tone is similiar to Lan.

Landor nodded to the old man. “Any research or information about this threat would be extremely useful before I leave.”

It was then that Landor noticed the other two priests. “How can I help you gentlemen?”

"It was a red claw or a hand. A banner. But I told you this before...I know nothing else I am afraid. It was a vision or a nightmare. Or both. Hard to tell." The old man nods his head and goes past the two Pelorians. He glances at them but continues on his way slowly and then dissapears amongst the other villagers.

They watch him depart and turn to Lan "Anything you need let us know." One of them bows his head "We should go, make sure he is alright. Pelor be with you." They turn and walk off in his general direction.

Tai tilts his head. He then looks at Lan for a moment and then rests his hands over his chest. Odd creature.

(IC) The End or the Beginning?

While everyone is talking you realize that Tai looks away at someone in the crowd, with a sparkle in his eyes as he recognises that person.
You see a female gnome sitting in a bench enjoying the festivities looking at everything with the look of a newcomer.
She eventually looks at Tai and after a few seconds she jumps down the bench (her feet doesn't reach the floor) and approaches the group.
"I can't believe I would see you again kid" says the gnome with a cheerful voice. "But now that I see you here I have no doubts about who dealt with the Forge issue… and these handsome boy is probably the one that helped you. By the way you look good Tai, you are growing to be a good man"
She speaks to the kenku as if she was expecting him to reply at any moment, but the creature just looks at her with attention.
After a going on for a while speaking to Tai as she knows him, she decides to introduce herself to the rest of the group.
"Hello everyone. Sorry I jumped in and disturbed your conversation, but this young kenku and I know each other from a situation in the past. You know, damsel in distress and all of this" she shows her big smile in her round face.
"My name is Roywin Viasaquilla and I'm a scribe and illusionist wizard that has worked for several lords in the last few decades… oh, actually almost a century!" She mentions with surprise.
"Anyway, experience isn't something to be ashamed of. I came here as I was asked to do some paperwork for Baron Althon, quick job, not very well paid, and now I'm done. Apparently there is not much more I can here, but I was enjoying the festivities before leaving. I should move in the next days to another town to see if someone is interested in hiring my services"
She smiles as she joins you for the rest of the evening you want it or not.

(IC) The End or the Beginning?

Landor’s eyes narrowed slightly as the two guards went off to follow the older priest. It was obvious they had been following him before he even talked to Landor. That was suspicious. He looked at their mannerisms to try and tell if they had genuine compassionate concern or something more sinister. He kept his eyes on them following their movements even as the gnome presented her bubbly self. Without looking away, he spoke to them. “I’m pleased to make your acquaintance ma’am. I apologize for being distracted, but I believe I may have stumbled onto a mystery. If that sort of thing interests you then please join us. Tai, can you follow those two Pelor guards in the way only you know how. They are following an older priest who is walking away. I or we will follow behind and try not to lose them. Whistle if you need assistance.”

The cleric keeps his eyes on the pair as he grabs his shield and begins to follow. He motions for the gnome to join them. “You and I enjoying a pleasant conversation will help deceive the men we are following. So you say you are looking for someone to hire your services. I believe I have just been informed of a town in need. Pay might be good. Interested?”

The odd samurai steps in front of Lan and rests a hand over the shield the cleric has. He whistles and seems to be blocking them as best as he can be. "Pelor be with you." Same tone as the others. Its pretty eery. "By the way you look good Tai." Same tone. Same everything.

(IC) The End or the Beginning?

Gar walked along the street, his sharp eyes looking around for his friends, hearing Lyrian behind him. He looked around and spotted Landor.

With a smile he walked up to him, seeing him talking to a gnome. "LANDOR" he called out holding an arm up, catching up to him. The half orc smiled at the halfling, then looned at Landor.

"If we have a few days, the family has asked our aid in..." he paused and frowned as he noted his friends attention  elsewhere, and sighed.

"Seems I miss all the fun....ok, tell me what has happened"

He looked at the gnome and nodded. "I am gar, miss. Friend of brother Landor and Tai."

Roywin looks at the men that the cleric is following
"Why are we following these two Pelorian?"
She asks but does not wait for the answer from Lar
"I think Tai is suggesting we don't follow these two gentlemen, right? and I really mean it, you look good!"
She smiles at the kenku and starts chatting lively when the half orc and the elf show up.
"Hello young man, I'm Roywin, and old acquaintance of Tai. Just saw him here and it was a lovely surprise. By the way, who is the lady by your side?"
Then looks again towards the leaving Pelorian and continues
"I don't know about the two gentlemen, but your friend Lan here mentioned a town that needs help and that we might be able to help. I was thinking of leaving this town soon anyway"
She speaks as she is going with you to the town, and probably there is very little you can do to change her mind.

Gar nodded to the diminutive and forward gnome and smiled. "Any friend of Tai's is a friend of mine."

He again looked at Landor. "It is nothing major....just help moving some of their items to town. They could use the town guard, but they are a little fearful after the ordeal in the cave and because i stayed with them, they trust me...and you by default. "

He looked around. "It will be no more than a day or twos work. I have sad neither yes or no, but since they took me in during a dark time, I would help them if nothing more urgent is abound."

The group has time to plan and come morning they are greeted to a decent meal and provided horses for anyone who wants then as well as a enclosed wagon with two horses to pull it. Tai is oddly silent during breakfast.

Roywin will help wherever needed and take advantage of the nice treatment her new friends receive from the town folks. She eats her breakfast happily and without any remorse on joining the rest of the group. Spends most of the breakfast talking to Tai, who doesn’t reply back at any comment (which she was used to anyway).
After breakfast she sees the horses and the wagon. She smiles and says
“With this we will be able to help your friends Gar in no time. Maybe even later today we can start moving to the town where Lan was requested some help. By the way I can’t ride a horse, specilly this big, so dibs on the wagon” and laughs.

Tai is even more silent than his usual silence which is pretty silent. He has gone from pin drop silent to Death Con level 5 dragon scale quiet. What can this mean? Landor wonders later as he saddles up on a horse and has Gar lead the way. “Lead on big guy.”

Lyrian also chose to walk, not needing a seat in the cart after the nice day of rest they'd had.  The sight of Roywin gives her a small pang, reminding her of her brief acquaintance with Rafink, and his hasty end.  Hopefully Roywin would have more luck...

Roywin sits in the wagon comfortably and suddenly a brownish goat with a dumb look shows its head next to her. After the first shock and after making sure her possessions are safe she starts petting it and talking to it.
"Lovely animal! and I think I could even ride it! I'll call him Carb."
That seems to be a joke she only understands, and when asked about it she replies
"Carballo was my first love when I was young. He looks just like him!"
And laughs.

The samurai sits on the back of the wagon, making some chirping tone. “Lead on big guy.” He seems to copy Lan, same tongue-same everything. "I think I could even ride it!" Same as the gnome. It could cause some interesting ideas. He whistles a few times as the group meets up with the girl and her family as well as two guards.

They head to their farmhouse that looks abandoned as well as their farmhouse. The two guards go to enter the home which they find to be unlocked and they enter. They start to bring out several smaller items to another wagon.

She doesn't do any heavy lifting though. She looks quite cheerful and chatty while doing it, so noone send to care.

Gar walked silently ahead of the horses and wagon, couldn't help but smile....the fresh air, the trees, he was in his element.

When the farmhouse came into sight, he put his new bow and double axe beside the cart as he helped pack the wagon. He smiled at odd things as he packed them, memories of each linked to the family. One such item was a stuffed toy made by the farmers wife that resembled the orc loosely. He remembered the little girl, sitting next to him nervously as she held the stuffed toy.

...that seemed so long ago.

His smile faded as he packed the wagon.
