You are located on the lower right side on the road.

1 is a Watchtower with the 4 guards on the ground.

Re: (OOC) Welcome to the Game

We're just throwing things at the wall and see what sticks!  Who knows, maybe we'll find some extra insight into Vrraath Keep amongst the hobgoblins we ambush, or can get an idea of layout from a captive!  (An elf can dream, can't she?)

Re: (OOC) Welcome to the Game

The hobgoblins are dead and the scout guards that left didn't return.

Its not like 'Hey should go to Vraath keep! We got cookiees!' :)

Re: (OOC) Welcome to the Game

I'm talking about hobgoblin scouts or hobgoblin raiding parties.  They've got little groups who are out there, like the ones we fought at the farmhouse. Maybe we could ambush some of them or tail them and learn something about the keep.

Re: (OOC) Welcome to the Game

You'd have to find some random hobgoblins to take down. You believe they got groups around, btw. Or you can go find Jorr who was mentioned as he's a ranger-type in the Woodlands that may know more info about it :)

Also keep in mind-they are well organized. They did quite a bit of damage to the group before the group got into melee. Plus not everyone in the group is situated for stealth. Plus they don't seem to attack the village.

Plus the group knows theres a couple -hundred- hobgoblins (and that doesn't include any other monsters) that they may have in store. Plus Tiamat may or may not have some part in it.

Re: (OOC) Welcome to the Game

That was the proposal from Roywin too. You get some scouts but themselves. Kill most of them, capture a couple, make sure Tai doesn't kill them this time and interrogate them for information. At least about the Vraath keep.

Going there without knowing a little about if they are 2 or 200 in there and the place layout seems a little bit dangerous. Going there knowing the patrols, how many there are, if there are additional monsters and their weaknesses and any organisation related to Tiamat and with a detailed map will be dangerous anyway!

I really think we should try to engage with a scavenging/scouting party of Hobgoblins (make sure Tai don't kill them this time) and get as much intel as possible before heading to their main stronghold.

Re: (OOC) Welcome to the Game

Well that is if you can convince them to give the group the information. Diplomacy won't work and Intimidate might but maybe not. Plus they could easily lie.

And killing baddies is what Tai -does-. He doesn't take prisoners. And he's very good at it.

Plus you already know it has manticores (hence from the Speaker). You guys got info but not much reguarding Tiamat from Landor. It may or may not have any part of it.

You could do what the group suggests and have guards inside if they can spare them and have them sit and wait. It may or may not work. But if the group wants to do it-alright.

Your an adventurer! Take risks is what you do lol!

Plus there's other stuff you can do like going to the temple of Pelor, look for more info (though the Speakers is the best bet), sell any gear, ect.

So no one wanted the +1 Short Swords and +1 Banded Mail?

Re: (OOC) Welcome to the Game

The short swords and banded mail aren’t really used by anybody. Landor is in full plate and the others wear light or no armor.

Waiting on Gar to post and then I will do a post to get the group moving.

Will the group stay together in the village?

Also your probably not going to get full price for the banded mail/swords. They do have to make money lol.
