More curiosity than anything ... do the skeletons appear to be of humanoid origin, or are they more of the fishy/sahuagin variety?

Cumarinda killed them with the Turn check.

Keep in mind he didn't 'summon' them. They were at each side of the coffin.

Sorry, I was "off-grid" for the weekend and busy as hell yesterday.  I will definitely open the coffin in my search.

I pondered running a DND Oriental Adventures game. I got the books but new to it. Hmm.

If you decide to run one, let me know. I have an idea for a crane Hengeyokai monk or kensai.

Very much loved the 3.5 Oriental Adventures book, and never got a chance to play.  I'd be interested!

Really its up to the cleric. Take the items from the dead and find out what they do (basically steal them) or leave them :)

In Ballast's way of thinking, the dead have no use for items, so why leave them around if they can be of use elsewhere?  He's not heartless though, so if someone really objects he's certainly willing to hear an argument for leaving them behind.

Yeah. Fenris feels the same but he will do what is best for the group.
