Re: two rings to rule them all

Dungeon Master:
Really its up to the cleric. Take the items from the dead and find out what they do (basically steal them) or leave them :)

Yep, that's why I posted the way that I did.  I suspected that Cumarinda might have an issue with just straight up "looting."

Brankx is pragmatic. If it can be of use he will take it. He expects when he dies the same will happen

Cumarinda Imbrex:
If you decide to run one, let me know. I have an idea for a crane Hengeyokai monk or kensai.

I'd allow the crane hengeyokai monk but not the Kensai. To me its just a broken PRC :)

Anyone got a idea for a oriental adventures game? :)

Escorting the daughter of a shogun to her husband for their wedding?  Freeing someone from a curse by getting a rare flower from oni-controlled lands?  Ridding a village of a plague of ghosts?  Seeking out the wisdom of a martial-arts master in some remote monastery after a powerful foe comes to challenge the ruling lord?  Finding who vandalized the tomb of an honored ancestor and returning a stolen sword to its rightful place?

I love the way you're RPing Cumarinda!  A little bit of tension in-game makes for interesting play.

In reply to Fin (msg # 173):

I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying the way I'm playing her rather than the opposite.

I also want you and everyone to know that I do listen to comments about my character, even if I don't immediately act upon them.

Re: two rings to rule them all

I'll get a post up shortly, but my suggestion in-game will be for a rest.  We apparently survived a dragon attack, lay unconscious on the beach for an unknown amount of time, walked some distance to the village and skipped eating a meal to get to the crypt.  I think it only makes sense (except for Cumarinda and Ballast).

Don't forget battled a water demon and his undead friends in a earthen tomb.

....good times

That being said, I'd prefer the rest to replenish the spells

And yet the DM isn't making the group eat or sleep as there's no need of it atm? :) I do not force the group to eat and rest. But if that is what you wish to do, ok. But the beach and korthos BTW weren't very far. You want to eat and rest, alright. Does the group really want to rest in a tomb? Probably not, even if its for meditation :)

The only person that might benefit would be Brankx but he probably has 90% of his spells.

This is DND.

Actually the fight lasted I believe 2 rounds lol.

Hmm. Most of these are decent :)

I think my favorites are the escort mission and the returning of the stolen sword. Also, I'd like to suggest a mission similar in plot to the Seven Samurai/Magnificent Seven, except maybe involving the castle of a minor lord or the home of a fallen samurai.
