Barlo had continued against the goblins, although he left one to be felled by Zaryk's blade.  The two stood in the room, with only the dead goblins on the floor, along with the scattered dice and silver coins.

"Nice job," Arn murmurs, clearly impressed with his companions martial ability. He looks at the scattered coins and the dice. "Looks like these goblins ran out of luck," he comments. He collects the coins, counting them so he can give the others a report. He then searches the bodies for anything else of value or of interest.

"Thanks, Arn," Barlo said as he cleaned his blades. He returned the borrowed dagger and looked around the room. "Just sitting here playing dice like any other bored guards. Maybe these weird goblins aren't so different after all?" When Zaryk approached, Barlo said, "I would not leave an enemy at our back, what did you see further down the hallway?"

Zaryk simply nods, in response, as he too wipes his blade off on a goblin corpse.


"Compared to what?" Zaryk asks incredulously. "Other goblins, perhaps? You seem to forget they attacked Ulric's farm without provocation, and killed some of his people!"

While Arn loots the corpses, Zaryk will examine the walls for concealed doors.

"I meant that even evil men get bored and dice their pay away, I had not meant to seem as if I were justifying their actions, merely saying that they are not so mysterious after all. They died easy enough, I say we go kill the rest."

"My apologies, Barlo...it seemed that your were sympathising with these wretched creatures. I should have known better...I admit I am on edge knowing that there are more of these inky gobs within this place."

"Then our course is clear. We should see what else is in this compound and, if it's goblin, kill it."

Arn found a total of fifteen asil and two griel amongst the scattered coins and dice.

Barlo looked from face to face and, if no one said anything further, he moved down the hallway opposite the door to the room in which they killed the three goblins. He moved cautiously but steadily, sword and dagger ready.
