I have no problem RPing a female character if that’s what you are looking for. Just don’t expect any romance scenes, lol

GM, will there be sufficient downtime for item creation beyond the odd scroll? It’s a possible specialty for wizards, but I don’t want to sink too much of my character into an option that won’t come up.

Most likely nope. I'd say let the NPC do it if possible and if you meet anyone. I'd rather not have a PC doing it as it takes time.

Really it depends on what you want to do and if you have the right gear for it :)

I think we're good. We have some sort of healing with the did and the bard. Wizard for arcane, two strong melee and a skilled based character. Sounds good!

Well the bard is probably going to go elsewhere. I want to keep the character in case the PC comes back. I think we will be fine for now but having another 'healer' would work. Or some sort of range person. I don't think we have one.

Plus the bard hasn't been on for over a month.

I’ll have Use Magic Device, so as long as we have a wand I can help with out of combat healing. Since I haven’t started IC yet, if we need ranged attacks I can retool to evocation

Need ranks to use it decently. Can't just pick up a wand and make a roll without ranks. Well tecnically you can. It would be harder for a wizard to use say a Cure light wounds as it isn't on their spell list. Not sure of the rogue has class skills with it. You could have a charismatic smart wizard.

Classes that get a +3 bonus if they put 1 rank in it:
Sorceror
Rogue
Bard
Alchemist
Magus
Witch

I have ranks in it and took the Pragmatic Activator trait to use Int instead of Cha on the roll. Still not a class skill, so I won't have the +3 from that

Still you don't have it as part of your spells list.

I believe you need a use magic device of 20+ to use it.

So say you got a Int of +4. 2 Ranks in it. And +3 for class skill (if you got Dangerously Curious or Underlying Principles which gives +1). With that:
Int   +4
Ranks +2
Class +3
Trait +1
Total: +10

Got a 50/50 chance to use it.

Modifiers (Might be others-took it from the Use Magic Device area)
Feats If you have the Magical Aptitude feat, you gain a +2 bonus on Use Magic Device checks. If you have 10 or more ranks in this skill, the bonus increases to +4.

Feats If you have the Skill Focus (Use Magic Device) feat, you gain a +3 bonus on Use Magic Device checks. If you have 10 or more ranks in this skill, the bonus increases to +6.

Feats If you have the Elongated Cranium (Ovoid Compression) feat, you gain +2 bonus on Intelligence checks and Intelligence-based skill checks but take a —1 penalty on Charisma and Wisdom checks and on Wisdom– and Charisma-based skill checks

Traits If you have the Pragmatic Activator magic trait, you may use your Intelligence modifier when making Use Magic Device checks instead of your Charisma modifier.

Traits If you have the Clever Wordplay social trait, you can choose one Charisma-based skill. You attempt checks with that skill using your Intelligence modifier instead of your Charisma modifier
