Talking to Sakamoto's player, we have a few options to consider and he would like the group's feedback.

Option 1: Resurrection - there will be enough funds after this encounter to have Sakamoto brought back to life, if we want to keep the little assassin around as-is. It will eat a good chunk of your funds, but it's 5E, so what else are you going to spend that gold on?

Option 2: Reroll - the assassin stays dead and he brings in another character, which would likely be his Dex-based Barbarian from the Teaching 5E game that I had been running. Brillik is also a barbarian, but they're two very different styles of barb and I honestly don't think we would have to worry about stepping on toes there. We have a Dex-Paladin, so there is a little overlap in gear between those two, but nothing we can't handle.

Option 3: Farewell - Ken has recently gotten a new job that has caused a reduction in his free time, which in turn slows down his posting rate.

And what does Ken want to do? Ultimately it's his gaming pleasure that's in the balance. I would not be comfortable to decide the fate of our Tiny Dancer without having his opinion, I'd be ok with him posting twice a week if that's the most he can do

I haven't known him long enough but I agree the decision should ultimately be his shouldn't it ?

He's not sure what he wants to do, which is why he's asked for your input.

I'm ok with any of the three options, honestly, especially if my posting rate isn't an issue.

I would prefer to keep Sakamoto, but I also don't want the group to lose money just to keep him around.

Finally, I LOVED playing Betty before, so that is another option.

As Khorth has said, ultimately it is ken's decision. I have no issue we resurrecting the half pint....gold can be found anywhere.

If you want to keep him, keep him.

As for posting rate I am happy with twice a week...we all have busy times. I'm a nurse....sometimes I can't get on for a few days, sometimes I'm on every hour!

I promise Khorth won't try to take a bite or two out of Sakamoto if you want to keep him lol

I would be happy to keep playing Sakamoto. And it would give us all some great roleplaying connectivity if we keep him in the game, rather than introducing yet another new character (no offense to the new characters).

If the Party is OK with spending the money to resurrect him, I'm happy to keep Tiny Dancer alive. :)

If we have the money, I'm certainly not opposed to that.

My character has no ties to Sakamoto, but occ I know Ken and am fine with whichever option he wants most.

However, in character, the rest of the party is going to have to be fairly compelling to convince Zhalis to give up the gold to resurrect him. Unless we get enough that it could come out of the other shares. XD

For such a large site,  there's a surprisingly large amount of cross pollination on rpol.

Zhalis and myself met on a mobile game with another dnd player and I had just lost my real life group to covid restriction, so we migrated to rpol... we met Akyra in the game he gm, then psynister... we enjoy playing with each other so now we follow each other in 6 games or so lol
