In a world marked by power of unclear origin, where magic is gnostic and society is divided along cultural lines, nothing happens in a vacuum. Even the tiniest of actions has ripples and pulls the strings of a vast and complex web. Every change is magnified and warped as it spreads through the world. In the south, nomadic engineers hold back tides of barbarians and monsters. In the west, a new power has arisen, driven by the energy drawn from a supernatural volcano. To the north, the remnants of an ancient empire sit within the dense jungles of the northern coast, and plan.

And in the east, along the eastern coast's plains and deserts, a regent dynasty is holding onto power by delicate grips. Artenia is an ancient civilization, perhaps the oldest continuous civilization in the world, and it has had thousands of years to develop grudges. Noble houses establish short-lived dynasties as regent on behalf of a throne that has sat empty for two centuries, lacking anyone who can put together enough support to claim it as their own. Art and science flourish, and many schools of philosophy vie for the attention of the common folk.

All of this is about to be shaken to pieces, though, by the arrival of a ship on the eastern coast, in the port city of Tepe Medana. This ship comes from unknown shores, and its cargo is about to shatter the delicate balance of power between the great forces of the world, propelling a new wave of people to deific power.

Characters will be level 1 Godbound, created using the stat array of 16 14 13 13 10 8. All content from the deluxe core book and Lexicon of the Throne are available, with the exception of Engineering, Network, and concept words. Shapeshifting is available for all characters, Fate for Undestined characters. Strifes are available. Additionally, homebrew content may be considered; I have some available in the Homebrew thread here, and am open to considering others on a case by case basis.
