I need to step down as GM from a game, but I would hate to see the game stop. If one of the players would agree to take up as the new GM, how can I transfer ownership of the game to them?

I think, if you go to   'edit players' in your  GM tool section. you can pick the  player and a drop down box  will allow you to give them GM access/

I believe the Moderators can transfer actual game ownership.  Just making a player a GM still limits them.  I'm nursing a game along where that happened...I can't do anything to any of the characters that the original GM created...can't rename them, delete them, change ownership on them...and that's just one issue I've noticed, there may be others.  Far more reliable to actually have someone make that player the new game owner officially, rather than trying to find work-arounds for the various issues.

The original GM just needs to remember to transfer ownership, then the replacement GM can do everything.  No need to involve Moderators at all if that is done.

Thanks for the clarification.  I know my situation is something of an anomaly, where the GM hadn't anticipated such a long absence.
