Character Description: Hispanic, lovely, recently divorced after a miscarriage, looking to start over. She has applied for a transfer as a bank manager to First Federal which has a primary location downtown and two satellite branches in strip malls near the outer edges of Nettle Springs. She's an accountant by trade but she earned her degree on the GI bill having put in five years with the Marines (17 - 22). She comes from Miami, father deceased, mother living with sister in Tampa.

Lysette is professionally bright and chatty, good at remembering the details of people she meets -- names, families, likes, etc. -- all part of running a successful small business in a tight knit community. She dresses in middle class business chic, almost always wearing a dress or skirt to work with heels. Her makeup is well maintained, but straightforward. She is lucky to have flawless skin, high cheekbones and the natural tan of her heritage.

She runs for exercise, usually in the morning, 6 - 7 am, putting in five miles in dark colored sweats. She drives a Toyota Rav 4, three years old and is looking to buy an old sports car to go road rallying in and attend antique car shows as an entrant. She has her eye on a red Triumph TR3, 1956 vintage.

The First Federal Bank building is at the bottom of the hill in Nettle Springs, across for the railroad station and not far from the Post Office. Lysette's office is in the corner on the ground floor with a window looking out on Main Street and another looking across the tracks to the river. She has to pinch herself sometimes to remind herself that this is not a dream.

She has many plans to expand the bank's business, which has been strangely stagnant for years. They all start with her getting to know the major depositors better as quickly as she can.



For now she has taken a lease on a three story shotgun town house towards the top of the hill on Main Street in gray stone.



Potential for Romantic Connections

Lysette is off men for now. She had a bad marriage and now she's ready for something new. She might consider an impusive hook up with some hunk, but not dating. She is very curious about the possibility of a same sex relationship. She's not done it before (except that one night in college . . . ) but she does find pretty women very fascinating. She would be up for a one night stand, but she hopes for more of a romance.
