Description:  Petra is young woman of mixed human ancestry, though her features are quite pleasant (a 'smoothie' and not a 'fruit salad').  She moves with a fluid grace that indicates that she's had some physical training - especially aboard ship or in zero-g.  However, there is a slight stiffness to her gait.  Her hazel eyes peek out from under her dark brown hair which frames her face and is often braided or pulled back into a ponytail.  She stands about one and three-quarters metres tall and can't weigh more than seven stone (which she definitely doesn't).

Some of her friends call her 'Pem' or 'Pem-Jay', but never 'Pet'.

Petra favors tailored coveralls, which either look an awful lot like flight suits or riding leathers.  Though they no longer have any military, service, or corporate insignia, she still wears them as if they do.  She wears little if any jewelry or make-up, but does have a set of stylish sunglasses on her head, an earbud-comm constantly plugged into her left ear, and silver chain with both dog tags and a small silver emblem hanging from it (often tucked under her collar).  Her wide leather belt, holds the holster for pocket communicator, while her leather jacket is fashionably cut, being bolero-style with wide-tapered lapels and bell-tapered sleeves with zippers.  If expecting trouble, she sometimes carries both a blaster pistol in a belt holster and a stunner in a shoulder holster; seeming to strongly prefer the stunner.

On her left forearm and hand, there is a dataglove microcomputer (input pad over the back of her palm and wrist while a display covers her forearm), which seems to tie into the rest of the electronics she is wearing.  Her right wrist sports an ancient analog chronometer, bearing an old Terran symbol ('Ω'), a gift from her parents upon graduation from flight school.
