I started playing RPGs in 1982, by which point I had already read The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit.  I played MERP in 1st and 2nd edition in the 1990's, as co-GM setting up a First Age campaign based on the Silmarilion and Unfinished Tales.  For a long time I read LotR annually, delving into the appendices.  You can imagine I'm fond of the lore.  I am not as well read with the various books, notes, unfinished works and letters of Tolkien published by his son in later years and therefore will not use or accept such material in this game.

Incánus is Olórin's name in the South (Near Harad or so); another name for Mithrandir or Gandalf.
