Orlov is a wild eyed man with crazy hair and an intense, disconcerting gaze and somehow a mad aura of knowing far more of what's going on than meets the eye. Rumour has it that he sleeps with dolphins and seals, and that he was banished from his island for seducing and murdering another man's wife. It is known he is wicked fast with a knife if someone mocks him for this.

He has carved what looks like a large cartwheel on the poop deck with runes and strange symbols carved on the spokes and the felloes. He has been known to climb on top and caper and shout and throw things into the sea.

And yet... seas and winds have been mostly calm and fair since he joined the crew.
