Kylen is a Half-Elf of fairly tall stature. He stands 5 feet 10 or so inches tall and has a slim but muscular build. His features favor the elven side of his heritage, his mother Kayla Moonharvest is an Elf who runs a local herb farm that specializes in lunar flora. His father is a Half-Elf named Bentam Nyteshade. He travels frequently and seems to be well known, but if you ask Kylen what Bentam does he can only give vague details. His uncle Keegan Moonharvest was a Bard that help to raise Kylen. He would travel between Kayla's home village and the Moonharvest Apothecary to keep tabs on Kayla and to help with Kylen when Bentam was traveling.

Kylen helped around the farm, but proved to have very little talent in horticulture, but what he lacked with growing things, he more than made up with in musical talent.

As Kylen reach maturity, his father and mother sat him down to encourage him to start venturing out on his own. His father displayed an unusual sense of urgency making vague statements about being ready to take over a family obligation from his father in the future. Kylen has always wanted to impress his father and though Bentam always showed Kylen love and still managed to teach him much of his social graces as well as more nefarious skills, Kylen still viewed Bentam as a distant hero that would appear in his life story only on special occasions.

Kylen has a free spirit and loves to entertain. He does, however, long for real adventure that will test him and allow him to show his father that he is worthy to take on any inherited responsibilities.
