Layla is what they call bi-gender. They still have their male genitals but the rest is all female. Athletically fit with a 35 inch bust
Personality Layla is very outgoing. A charming personality and outright flirt. Someone of a strong opinion she will get in the face of those who infuriate her. This is also how she feels when in pursuit of a story. She also is offended when call sir. Though bi gender she prefers female pronouns.
Background Layla was born Lincoln but always knew it was wrong. As a teen she knew she was different. Her mother and sisters were supportive but her father beat the tar out of her. It was in college she began the process. Funny thing was when it came to the final surgery she kept putting it off. After graduation she realized it was because she was where she wanted to be. True she's had a few bad times from both genders. She's spent more than a few nights in the hospital after being beat. She's also found it hard keeping a job.

As a very outspoken individual she also writes stories that could be seen as controversial. Like in high school concerning teen pregnancy. It was due to the fact that female students were pretty much expelled while the fathers weren't. After being told not to do it she published it anyway and was expelled. Which led to a student protest. She was allowed back and the policy changed. However as a adult she was fired. After a few she started a webpaper which has grown in both status and readers. It has also gotten her arrested a few times.

As she comes on the show she's hoping to raise awareness for bi-genders.
