Background: Born in Staithes Yorkshire, Adrian is the first son of a Naval family who's privileged and destined to follow his Family Calling, into the Navy; however early in life he developed a interest in the Science of Medicine. Adrian's Parents indulged this interest, under the provision that he would join once he graduated. So in early 1798 Adrian graduated with honours from Oxford then headed to the Naval Academy to enlist.
