Pirates & Privateers - RPG in the Age of Sail and MusketInspired by historical fiction like Hornblower, Sharp, Master & Commander and other literature, movies and television of a similar era. This game will give players the opportunity to begin as a lowly sailor or cadet and rise through the ranks as naval man, a privateer or even a pirate to perhaps one day command their own vessel and sail the high seas committing derring do!
Players will be able to choose one of three career paths when they join the game which will determine the types of skills they will begin the game with and which skills will be easier and cheaper to acquire and which will be more expensive and take longer.
Players can choose to start the game being Press Ganged into the Navy, they may Volunteer or they may be enrolled as cadets. Each has it's advantages and disadvantages.
Players need to be able to log in regularly and are expected to post at least 2 - 3 times per week.
