Black Star Rising

This is a Mekton Zeta Campaign using the technology and equipment from Starblade Battalion Mekton.  This is not the Starblade Battalion setting or campaign.  The setting is a far future TL 7 universe.  I do not plan to focus the action on Mecha or their pilots, but the players' preferences can influence that.  Sources for this Campaign:

Having copies of these books is not essential but helpful.  I am using a homebrew modification of the character generation influenced by Cyberpunk 2020.  The rest of MKZ will be used as-is unless a modification from the character generation requires an adjustment.

Cybernetics from CP2020 may be available on an ad hoc basis with specific Referee approval; where there is overlap or conflict between MKZ/SB and CP2020, the former takes precedence.  More on this in the rules notice.

We will begin in the Federated Alliance (See background Notice) and all player characters are citizens of an Alliance world, though not necessarily the same one.  If anyone would like to play an alien species, please discuss it with me and we can work out which one.  I’m open to some species from other RPGs, in particular Star Frontiers, Frontier Space, Alternity, and Master of Orion.  All characters will be Veteran Characters and the generation method is modified per the Character Creation Notice.

The campaign Model is Military/Exploration: characters are members of an Alliance-sponsored University Exploration Expedition.

I did not put the "Sole-Ownership" tag for two reasons:  One, your character is yours.  Even if you leave the game I will not put them up for adoption for another player to use.  Second, this is collaborative story-telling, so hopefully the product will have as much input from the playes or more than the GM.
