Help on Help!

To browse our Help files, simply click the topics on the left-hand side of the screen.  If these are area topics, they'll show you a list of more specific topics, otherwise the  appropriate document will be displayed here, on the right-hand side.

Why is there a large delay before the help screen appears?

Believe it or not this isn't a network related problem (the same problem occurs when testing this pop-up window on my hard drive), but rather seems to be an issue with some browsers (or a setting within).  Patience grasshopper, the page will load when it feels good and ready!

Do I need to close the help window when I've finished reading?

It depends.  If you're not going to click on help again, then tidy up after yourself and close the window.  Otherwise just focus back onto the main RPoL screen and continue on browsing, next time you click on help, the same window will be used (but with the relevant help page of course!).  Handy, eh?

I can't find help on what I need!

Oops! If none of our help files cover the topic you need, there are still a few options.  Try them in this order:
  1. Take a look through our FAQs -- they contain a lot of helpful information.

  2. Try posting your question to the Beginners or General RPoL forums under the RPoL Forums category.  Many of our users, in addition to being knowledgeable, are quite helpful too.

  3. If you're still in a quandary, try using rMail to contact the Moderators.  Be sure to allow them a few days to respond, as they're fairly busy and moderate in their spare time.

  4. If all else fails, try contacting the Admin, jase, using the link at the lower left-hand side of the help menu.  It may take several days for jase to respond.
